With Les Miles being off the hot seat due to the emergence of englebert at qb (according to the LSU fans) now is the time to lock in a new head coach....and you better do it quickly before the LSU fans turn on miles and the program, again.

Miles is already gone. A 23-20 win against Miss. State doesn't change shite

TAF is going all in for Herman

Better get Bobby. He'll fit right in.

If you're a prominent HC, if both were open the end of season, which would you take?

I'd honestly say AU

He fit in pretty well at Arkansas.

Man all this talk about Herman and we don't even know if he'll leave Houston for real.

I'm not getting my hopes up.

I agree - Auburn. LSU support base is completely delusional. Who would want to be left twisting in the wind like Les was after the Razorback arse kicking last season?

I think AU is a less unique job than LSU, so in a vacuum it may be more attractive to a broader pool of candidates.

But it is probably easier to win and recruit at LSU, and they haven't had the turnover AU has (of late).

I would go after Petrino if I were Auburn I'm just not sure he would want to come here and go head to head with Saban in the same state. They would have to cough up huge money to get him. He has it made at Louisville and seems to have a great team in both sides of he ball!

I couldn't disagree more. LSU is a much better job than Awful, i mean Auburn. No other major programs in their state to recruit against.

Herman would be a complete moron to move from Houston to face Saban.

Auburn will need a Bruce Pearl type hire (Briles) if they want anyone decent. The Auburn job isn't that attractive until Saban dies or retires.

So I guess covering up rape = being dishonest with the NCAA about a BBQ?

thats fricking retarded considering Saban recruits nationally and usually gets who he wants. every coach already has to deal with him on the best players. it doesnt matter if they share the state or not. any coach worth what we are about to have to pay better have the confidence to nut up and believe he can compete anyway.

Petrino is about on parts with Gus. He cant field a defense and won't win a NC. Louisville has had a higher level of talent, bc transfers.

I'd have think Petrino would laugh in Auburns face if they tried to pursue him. Twice they've "courted" him.

I think he was a little bent that they didn't take him more seriously in 2012.
