That was at AU high, right? Also, coaches have been able to travel for a little over a month now, I believe. Kind of crazy he has been to 1 game, in his backyard.

why would you want Jimbo Fisher over Petrino?

Petrino's defenses are horrible, he doesn't recruit well (granted that could be bc of the places he's been a HC at) and he leaves fricking chaos behind him at every place he's stopped.

ETA: and I've just always liked Fisher.

The decision has been made on Chizik. He's gone.

Jimbo Fisher is their top candidate.

Bobby Petrino and Charlie Strong are the other 2 serious candidates.

I agree. He would be stupid to leave. He can win 10 games a year much easier at FSU than Auburn, and you don't get fired for winning 10 games.

Well, that pretty much answers the question then.

Why would Jimbo leave Fla St?

Can't see that happening. Easier to win where he's at and wouldn't want to go to a State where Saban rules.

Leave the ACC bigshot school to come have a knife fight in a phone booth in the SEC W.

Makes sense...

He turned Arkansas into a Top 5 program which is a school that isn't known for recruiting and has bad demographics. He also had Louisville one game away from the National Championship. The guy is a winner.

So, he's going to watch his kid play every FRI, instead of going to watch recruits play. I understand that Reuben is on AU high.

It would be a great fit. Arky fans said that he didn't allow the D to tackle the O in practice. He wouldn't even have to have that rule at AU.
