No, SEC basketball was down when Auburn was winning 26 games and going to Final Fours. Other teams got competent coaches and recruited better and Auburn has fallen back. Pearl is a fine coach but he isn't some God that was gonna make Auburn Duke under Coach K or UNC under Dean Smith.

It's a transition year for us. Next year bama will experience another transition year (similar to last year). College basketball is cyclical, this is not CFP era football...
