I have always believed he is going through growth as a coach just like all do. Has it been frustrating? Hell yes, but The man can recruit, has shown he can win the conference. Look at TN, and others trying to find a successful coach. Hopefully he can get more consistent.

As a fan of the Tigers, I agree.

Should be a great battle later this month.

You will always have a group of never-Gusers, but most of us realize his resume is only surpassed by Saban in the SEC.

If so, well played my friend

I like him right meow. Subject to change if we lose to UF.

But seriously Gus recruits as well as AU has ever recruited, so there's no reason we should be going 7-5 or 8-4, at least not often. His issue, I think, is he rarely gets a good QB for whatever reason. Marshall was the last good one prior to Nix. Stidham was a good passer but sucked running and Stidham was all about Stidham.

Bo Nix is our savior. My selfish self hopes the NFL thinks he's too small so we get him for 4 years. But it seems the NFL is willing to take QB's smaller than 6'3 these days, so he'll probably leave after next year if he balls out next season. But Bo, unlike Stidham, is all about AU, so I could see him coming back for at least his junior season.

Puppet is not trolling dude. Gus is 2nd only to Saban because the likes of Les Miles/Stever Spurrier are no longer in the SEC.

You can't forget Gus has had Auburn in the national championship "discussion" every year he's been at Auburn and the just won the SEC West Championship only 2 yrs ago.

His resume is neck and neck with Saban's.

It would almost be worth the loss if Auburn would give Gus a big raise and a 10 year contract.

Almost.

And you know they'll do it, hell they may even give him a bump after the win in Baton Rouge.

His resume is at least equal to everyone not named Saban. People do not want to admit it.

If we win, Gus we will extend.
If we lose, another coach we will choose.

If a man is paid $49 million to produce,
you can deduce,
and if he fails to produce,
he will he cut loose

The Gus haters in our fan base love to focus on the negatives, but try getting them to come up with his replacement. It's laughable.

Gus has his historical warts, but given the current environment, Auburn's fortunate to have him. Hopefully he's finally figured out some things that will help him be a little more consistent.

I gave Gus a fair chance and my dislike of him is based on his own failings. Having said that, I agree that naming a replacement AU could get that would definitely be an upgrade isn't an easy assignment.
