A whole bunch of sentences that screams that you're just trying to make yourself feel better about the hire. It may be the most blatant "whistling past the graveyard" post I've ever seen.

Gus was a dysfunctional mess. Auburn was incredibly lucky to win as many games as we did under him.
I also don’t understand your argument that Auburn fires coaches too quick. Gus got 8 years, Chizik got 4 but his last was the worst season in school history, Tuberville had 10 years, Bowden had 7 years, Dye had 12 years.

If you’re counting respectable opponents, he was 0-14 against UF, LSU, Georgia, and Alabama on the road.
People that try and prop Gus as a good coach don’t know what they’re talking about.

I’ve been over Gus for several years now. He killed my interest in AU football in ways I never thought possible. I haven’t posted over here or the Auburn board in god knows how long. I may have watched a combined half of football all season. So yeah, it was long past time for Gus to go.

I’m all for shitting on Auburn but I think they made a great hire all things considered. They whiffed on their first couple guys and still ended up with a quality HC that is a solid B+ or A- hire. He could end up being the next Urban Meyer.

What’s funny to me about Alabama fans feeling of superiority is that anyone can be an Alabama fan. It’s not like you have actually done anything besides going to Wal Mart and buying a t-shirt out of the discount bin. But a lot of them seem to think that when other people see them in a Alabama shirt that they are jealous because they cannot be in such an elite club. It really is kind of comical.

Auburn went out and hired the head coach with the 3rd highest active winning percentage, I'm just happy Auburn won't suffer like LSU will the next few years. Orgeron is Chizik 2.0.

Alabama
Arkansas
Florida
Georgia
LSU
South Carolina
Tennessee
Texas A&M
(It’s quite possible I missed some as I do not live here 24/7)
The fact that fans from so many other SEC programs have started threads about how they wished Auburn kept Malzhan, tells me the $21 million we spent to send him away was money well spent.

What's funny to me is you believing every AU fan is an AU alum. I'm sure all those people in the stands with three teeth are esteemed graduates of the university. Like it or not, Alabama is a national brand, so of course they would have more fans that didn't actually attend the school. People just love winners.

I heard on the AL.Com boards for years about how every AU fan went to school there. Delusions are on a completely different level for your fanbase.
