In addition to the 7 current NFL offensive starters Saban has coached at Alabama, there are still three from LSU he recruited and/or coached. Andrew Whitworth, Dwayne Bowe, and Brandon Lafell. Though I can't be sure Lafell still starts.

His last offensive players at Michigan State, that became starters in the NFL, are now out of the league.

Ten is a solid number for a defensive background. More guys are soon to follow on that side of the ball. Just needs to finally develop that one QB.

I'd say the fact that John Parker Wilson and Greg McElroy ever made it to the league in the first place is pretty incredible.
i'd say that taking a cornerback who threw for 20+ INTs the year before and molding him into an SEC champion in one off season is more incredible.

Not really when the NFL agrees his only shot at making a practice squad is at cornerback.

According to Cam himself, he "blew his opportunity at Florida". Not sure what that could mean, other than he was basically told to leave - since he had 3 years left to play at the time of his departure.

He and a former MSU player tried to solicit money from MSU. That wasn't a violation at the time. None of the other schools recruiting him were solicited for money.

I didn't say he did, but his offer list backs the notion that it was occurring as its a who's who of don't give a frick if we get caught cheating again:

The perfect example. He had more time with this 5 star than any QB.

He had Keihl as a true freshman and played him mostly in running situations. He left for Arkansas state in 2012. Where he came back in 2013, he signed Marshall and johnson and moved Frazier to defense. So he had 1 year with him as QB.

His protege coached him in HS.

He ran the same offense in HS and college.

Finished his career sitting the bench at a DII school in Arkansas with a very bad football program.

Mustain ended his career as a third string punter at SC.

Seams the more time they have with him and his offense the worst they are for it, Cam being the exception as he was only around both for a few months.

That rule book is too thick anyway.

What about his 4000 yard passer at Tulsa? How about a discarded Chris Todd breaking Auburn's TD record? How about a DB setting the Auburn record for total offense in a game...in the Iron Bowl of all places? All of those were improvements because of Gus or his system.
The more I hear you guys the more convinced I am that Auburn has the right guy for the job

It would be more incredible to develop, prepare, and play him in a position where he could be drafted and ready for a career in the NFL, which is what this thread is about.

Pretty significant drought other than the 2 outliers, wouldn't you say?

2 in the last 10 years vs. 0 in 38, there is certainly a significant drought going on. At least Auburn has outliers.
