Freeze abandons the run too quickly and that’ll be a major sticking point for Gus.

In a perfect world, Gus and Freeze could meet somewhere in the middle and that could be a very dangerous offense.

Agreed. Gus’ power run game and Freeze’s vertical passing game integrating would be a very dangerous thing. Thankfully they’re both unlikable so they won’t hook up hopefully.

It's embarrassing that we're even giving Freeze the time of day. It reeks of desperation. Let the records show now that I do not support this.

This is the most Auburn thing ever.

They take all the players and coaches no one else will even touch.
And win Championships with them

Bowl, you had such high hopes for this season over the summer. What happened?

Yeah I am right there with ya.

I just wonder how this gets approval if Lord Saban couldn't even get him approved last year as an analyst.

OL worse than anybody expected, run game never materialized, and Gus did Gus things with the play calling.

Bowl, I'm very disappointed in the lack of Mississippi State shittalking from you before the Outback Bowl.

What does calling an offense have to do with cheating at recruiting?

I don't believe any shite I read from alleged AU insiders. Having said that, I think freeze is our best chance not to suck next season and I hope we get him. The problem is, if he does well, he gets an hc job and we are still stuck with Gus.

Should be a good game. I think State fans are underestimating Iowa. The Hawkeyes actually have a good bit of talent, but much like Auburn had a very disappointing season. Iowa Should be 11-1.

I'm interested to see how State matches up with Iowa's TEs. Iowa possibly has the top two TEs in the country. Noah Fant (39 catches, 518 yards, 7 TD) was a preseason All-American and projected top 10 draft pick, but he lost his starting job to TJ Hockenson (46 catches, 717 yards, 7 total TD) because Hockenson is one of the best blocking TEs I've ever seen. Violent blocker, absolutely relentless. Hockenson just won the Mackey Award btw. He's a red shirt sophomore and if he decides to go pro then Iowa will have two TEs picked in the 1st round.

Nate Stanley is a big strong QB with NFL potential. Considered a top 5 QB in the Big Ten. Compares to Kirk Cousins at Michigan State.

State's DL should contain Iowa's run game. Iowa will have the most well coached OL that MSU has played against all year, but Iowa's running game is by committee with no real standout and we all know how good the MSU DL is.

Iowa actually has a pretty good DL themselves and one of the most underrated defenses in the country this year. Particularly at rushing the passer and in the secondary.

Iowa is #7 in total defense, #11 in scoring defense, tied for #1 in interceptions, and #22 in sacks.

Iowa's DEs have 9.5 sacks each. SR Anthony Nelson (6'7" 270) is projected in the mid rounds.

AJ Epenesa, SO, 6'5" 275 is the real star though. 5* top 10 recruit nationally out of HS, came to Iowa because his dad played there. Already projected as a top 10 draft pick in mocks for 2020.
9.5 sacks and 15.5 tfl, 3 forced fumbles, and 1 TD on a fumble recovery.

Iowa's secondary is one of the most well coached in the country. Iowa has produced some very successful DBs recently both at the college and NFL level and that's continuing. Amani Hooker is 1st team All-Big Ten at safety. Freshmen cornerback Julius Brents has only started a few games, but ij early November was listed as a top 5 CB in all of CFB. Four DBs total with 3 or more INTs

The most exciting part of Iowa's secondary and defense IMO is a freshman CB by the name of Riley Moss. What's exciting about a freshman CB who's played in 6 games and has 2 INTs? He started 4 of those games and... He's white! He's pretty good too. Definitely a legit DB. When is the last time you saw white kid start at cornerback at a P5 level college and look good doing it?

See, that's level headed analysis. I want loud shite talking to State, your favorite target.

Get it done.

Still Commish may not want any member school to give Freeze a job in the SEC

This would be my stance as commish. You as coach leave an SEC school you helped get penalized....you then dont get to make millions as a coach...coaching against that school. Regardless of how long the NCAA says. OM should be back to full scholly limit 25/85 and the first class back up to max should be entering jrs. If OM wants freeze back....then go ahead without limits.

I don't think a coach should be able to go to another school in the same conference as a team that is still on probation due to what said coach did at said school.

Better he at Auburn than at Bama. Do no want.

Maybe for basketball. I don't have it in me for football. This football season has left me extremely level headed.

I might just copy and paste that last post and make it into a thread for some level headed bowl discussion

I think Freeze and Sexton are putting a lot of this stuff out there because he really wants another job. They're the same type of rumors we've heard with minor differences. For example, we never heard Sankey was a problem (quite the opposite) but we did hear Freeze was in hand but some unnamed power was holding it up. When our mod was asked who this person was he admitted he had no clue and that all he knew was some power that be was at fault. TBH, I think there may be more in Freeze's past than is publicly known and that's why he doesn't have a job yet. Nothing to do with anyone's AD or Sankey, just there's more there that has schools a bit spooked.
This is so SEXTON, it really is. The whole Stoops leakage, and the Gus reduced buyout leakage, and now the fight for Freeze leakage.
