AND Bama did it IN 2008. Lost to FL and went to Sugar. FL = National champs.
a 1 loss SEC champ game loser is likely to make it to the game, especially if no other 1 loss SEC team exists. This year there could be two, if LSU wins tomorrow.

all the bowl games care about is BCS ranking and fan base. a 1 loss LSU would get in as an at-large team

I just can't see anyway that LSU gets an at large over a team with the same record as them, and a team that beat them. Maybe I'm wrong.

That does not change the fact that the loser of the SEC championship game has gone to the Sugar bowl the last two years. LSURulzSEC said he did not recall it ever happening.
If Aubie loses, it would be between LSU and Auburn. Who would go, would be up to the selection committee, not ranking. However, fan base will definitely play a role, and LSU's is as good or better than anyone.

LSU had their chance... they didn't take it.
I'm not pulling for bama or auburn. I'll enjoy the pain of either... equally.
Today... I hope lil nickie strokes out.
Tomorrow... I'll enjoy any pain that comes aubies way. And if it doesn't.. I'll congratulate them on winning another for the SEC.
I'll be damned if I'm sweatin where we'll play a bowl game and pull for the arse in tuscalooser.

I loved the look on the Bama fans faces when the game was over. I was pulling for Auburn all the way. You have to live in this state to really experience the arrogance of the Alabama fans. It was a riot watching pissed off Little Nicky on TV.
