Is this the same quality news source that was linked yesterday with the toolbag writing down liscense plates numbers? If so, we know it's just a board full of batshit crazy Bammers posing as Barners stiring shite up.
I'm playing catch up but apparently they have been talking about it on the Roundtable with Dunaway and Brown. Something about Mark Murphy saying MSU was currently being investigated by the NCAA on an Arkansas radio show. I don't know if any of this is true but if Mark Murphy did in fact say what is being reported then I for one believe him.

Ouch!

If the coaches were present, but denied Cecil the opportunity for money talks, then everything should be ok. Problem is can they prove that the coaches denied the request for P4P? Maybe the conversations were recorded? Who knows

quote:Those are the only two situations in the realm of possibility. Can't be that MSU offered cash, and Cecil backed out realizing the consequences and chose Auburn instead to avoid the controversy.
Then Cecil goes to Auburn, and either asks for the same thing, and gets it. or he lies saying State offered 180k and Auburn says "well we will pay 200k." That is my theory, but then again there is that possibility we accepted the request of Cecil, and Auburn outbid us.
quote:You highly doubt you offered him money despite the proof that he did, yet you think Auburn definitely offered money, when there is no proof that this took place. You don't think you would do that because of the Sherrill days, but the Eric Ramsey case from over 20 years ago is proof positive that we are dirty.
I highly doubt we offered him money, especially after the Hell we endured after the Sherrill days, and we are just now starting to get back on track as a football program, what state alumni wants to put ourselves in that situation again?

I could care less. If anything there are some posters on here that I don't mind seeing squirm, but other than that, any of our schools on probation is a bad thing.

I can't say anything for sure, but I find it hard to believe that no one offered money to Cam. I find it harder to believe he got paid and then played for someone else.

quote:As a bama fan, you should know all about the Albert Means case.
You do realize that if someone from MSU paid Cam or Cecil then you can kiss that trophy goodbye.
You paid him. Not just offered. Money actually changed hands. Bama got in trouble, and Means was free to transfer to Memphis and play.

makes sense
like gerry tarkhanian (sp?) always said... if the NCAA thinks a big program is cheating they will punish the shite out of a smaller program to make an example out of someone

No disrespect here - But, how the frick is everything ok? If former MSU players arranged meetings with MSU coaches in an effort to administer a P4P scheme with Bishop Newton?
MSU is soiled in all this regardless if the Bishop received anything at all - because these "men" were acting on behalf of MSU, much like the Bishop was acting on behalf of his son.

Jerry Tarkanian
And it seems possible with the Baylor guy being ruled ineligible while Cam gets to finish the season.

So which was it?
Ok douchebag, Bond said the rough smokers voice female was NYCAuburn's wife, she was wanting to get her grind on, sorry, but one that I listened to was a voicemail, it was the one that Bond said was Kenny and Cecil asking if the money was coming, another one that I heard had a second party, it was a conversation between 2 or more people. As stated earlier, John Bond, Ridgeland, MS white pages try it, he may let you listen to them. You keep overlooking the obvious that I stated, it want come out good for you or us.

the rumors I heard were that it was in a meeting room and as soon as coaches heard what was going on, the meeting was ended. But who knows if that's true or not.
I don't think its true.
Because if it IS true, then MSU and some of MSU's coaches are fricked.

Testimony from all of the involved parties?

Show me where there is proof that MSU offered Cecil money? Cecil asked MSU for money, it has not been proven that we accepted that request, nor has it been proven that Auburn paid him. If either had been proven already, then that school would have received NCAA sanctions. That is the reason it is all still being investigated, there isn't proof.
The truth will come out, and if we are guilty, then we deserve punishment. But by no means is Auburn clean in this whole deal. BTW I never claimed Auburn was dirty because of Ramsey 20 years ago.
