Move the SEC baseball tournament to Trustmark Park in Pearl, MS this year. It can hold about 8K and Mississippi is wide open with no mask regulations.

Nobody in their right mind would ever voluntarily travel to Mississippi, just stop.

Damn. Change this event to Regions Park downtown. 3 Craft breweries across the street. Restaurants everywhere.

Regions Park was voted the Best AA in the Country.

I can tell you've never been to Trustmark.

It is a wonderful stadium, near the airport, just off I-20, not far off of I-55, has plenty of hotels nearby, and has a Bass Pro and outlets within walking distance of the stadium.

Edit- fricking autocorrect

How safe is this area? I'm not sure SEC fans would want to go to inner city Birmingham where there's tons of shootings, crime and violence.

Plenty of room for RV parking, and areas in the OF for kids to play. It's where Mississippi host the HS state championships every year.

I will never understand how Hoover is the venue for such a great tourney when so many great minor league parks are around.

I can't wait to see the reaction when the commies in the NCAA tell the Mississippi schools that they can host a regional, but only with 25% of capacity. The shitstorm will be glorious.

You could also come to Texas. The Astros triple-A is in Sugar Land (Houston burb). Tons of RV parking. 2 major airports. Fun environment.

rv parking is a huge part of it. I'd guess the number of minor league parks that meet their requirement for this is slim to none

Meet their requirements they made up so that only Hoover fits the bill because they don't want to move it. Those requirements?

They also added five (5) NCAA regulation fields adjacent to the Met, including one identically-oriented version that can be utilized to play two simultaneous games (in the event of time or weather delays).

That’s just the city of Birmingham, not the whole county.
