They won't. They skeerdt. They will try to find a way for us to meet Baylor because Baylor is, BY FAR, the only team in the Big Twatever that has a chance to beat A&M.
Baylor is probably going to win the Big 12 and make a BCS game brah.

No, cotton bowl is a failure from now on.

Don't think Cotton is a failure IMO but if that's how you feel..

Lose to LSU, cotton bowl again for ags. LSU and bama go bcs. Maybe razorback Jerry Jones will get the Horn/Ags game in the cotton bowl. I'd be for watching some horn killing.

With this seasons expectations I would be disappointed. If our defense had any type of pulse we would be in better contention for national title. So much for that.
But it's not downhill from here on. We might have a slight drop off next year on the offensive side of the ball, but the defense will only improve. The talent is there. So if you are banking on JFF's departure equating into a significant drop-off you gonna be in for a rude awakening.

Depends on aTm/LSU outcome obviously but I think capital One picks them.

Just picked up the #1 D recruit in Texas this morning. He committed to the good guys. Yeah, we are going down hill.

You think so? I don't know. Something tells me that it just will not happen. Can't quite put my finger on it....

If you had asked me before the 2012 season if I would consider back to back cotton bowls a successful start I would have said "frick yeah, but no way that happens."
I'll be a little disappointed if we don't go somewhere better this year but then i'll remember the above and start a moral victory thread or 10.

A&M=Sugar
Cotton is waiting for the much anticipated LSU v Baylor matchup.

Do the bowls like to take a team 2 straight years?
I would guess that A&M will either be BCS at large at 11-1, Cap1 at 10-2, or Chic Fila at 9-3.
I would think Cotton would want Bama if they slip, LSU if they trip or AU if they pull an upset or 2.
If a bowl has a chance to pick a team featuring Johnny Football, they're going to do so every single time. Guaranteed sellout and ratings bonanza.
The fact that the Cotton plays in A&M's backyard only makes it that much more of a lock.

Considering their games the past two years we can say that Texas ATM = Ole Miss.

What would be interesting is if LSU loses to bama and A&M loses to LSU. Would the sugar bowl pick 2 loss Manziel and A&M over 2 loss LSU? Assuming there arent 2 sec teams in the top 4 like last year.

The only way this year is going to be viewed as an unqualified success is if we win every game the rest of the season. If only lose additional game this year, people will be happy, but we will not have exceeded expectations. If we lose two more games, people will feel let the season was at least a minor disappointment.

Bowls are going to want to pick A&M as quickly as possible, and it's because of facts like this:
quote:
@jason_cook: Texas A&M-Ole Miss most watched CFB game last week w/3.2 rating & 5.1m viewers, topping Texas-OU's 3.0 and 4.7m.

Sugar Bowl.
Mark it down - A&M will beat LSU.

Hell, from what I've seen of the Aggie defense, Case "Aggie Killer" McCoy may rush for a 100 by himself.
I don't think A&M really wants to play Texas anymore. Subconsciously, they know they will lose. That's the result of being beaten 76 times by Texas in series history.

BYU just got another 1st down.

Texas would figure out a way to squirm out of that game.
