4 games for UK and Florida.
2 for Mizzou, LSU, and UGA.
1 for Arky, Bama, Vandy, and TN.

Sounds about right.
8/10 from the West? Questionable.

What's really cool about that link is that it provides all the alternate providers in your area that will have that SECN. There were three, in my remote area alone, that I didn't even know existed.

Agree. I have been Googling the past few days to see what other cable options I have in my area besides Verizon and have had trouble finding real websites that aren't just advertising spam.

Unfortunately looks like I'll need to switch to Comcast.....
They will lose to Boise State in week one and go back into hiding.

And yet we have regularly beat you over the last decade with players in your backyard that you overlooked.

It does if Mizzou wants to recruit TX. TAMU basketball has never been a super power and putting Mizzou in TX as the SEC school trying to beat the B12 schools for recruits makes the most strategic sense.

Texas isn't a big recruiting state for Mizzou in basketball like it is for football. Think we have only one guy from TX on our roster. Mizzou focuses a lot more on St. Louis and Memphis. Ole Miss would be an interesting rival given the proximity to Memphis.

What is the difference between the bolded games and those not bolded?

Looks like the bolded games are guaranteed and the asterisks are tentative. CBS has already announced all the bolded games.
I'm on the verge of doing something I swore I would never do - go back to Comcast.

I will give Verizon through this weekend before I do the unthinkable.

Arkansas probably makes the most sense as the primary and TAMU seems like a decent choice for #2.

A&M doesn't make much sense for Mizzou. The schools aren't very close geographically and only real history is from the Big 12 where they were in different divisions (and never had anything close to a basketball rivalry).

Hopefully the SEC tries to build some new rivalries instead of pairing Mizzou and A&M up. A&M should play teams close to them like LSU, Arky, Miss State, Ole Miss.

If I could pick it would be Kentucky, LSU, and Alabama.

Yeah I think Kentucky, and Florida to a lesser extent, will be high on everyone's wish list.

Realistically Kentucky only has one available spot because Tennessee is almost certainly going to be their second rival after Florida, and I think they will give that spot to a school close to them like Vandy or Mizzou, or maybe Arkansas.

I'm not positive on who Florida should get. Georgia and SC seem like natural fits, but neither are big basketball draws.
Guys just to be clear, these are just my guesses. Nothing official.
The league announced earlier this summer that they will increase the number of permanent rivals (i.e. teams that will play home and away games every year) from one to three. Each team will keep their current permanent rival and add two more.

The main goals of this are to get more SEC teams in the tournament (good teams play more good teams and increase RPI) and increase fan interest (play more teams against local rivals). Based on this criteria, I took a stab at trying to predict the new permanent rivals.

What does everyone think about these? THIS IS JUST MY GUESS - NOT OFFICIAL

Alabama - Auburn, Tennessee, Miss State
Arkansas - Mizzou, LSU, Texas A&M
Auburn - Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina
Florida - Kentucky, Georgia, South Carolina
Georgia - South Carolina, Florida, Auburn
Kentucky - Florida, Tennessee, Mizzou
LSU - Texas A&M, Arkansas, Ole Miss
Miss State - Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Alabama
Mizzou - Arkansas, Kentucky, Vandy
Ole Miss - Miss State, LSU, Vandy
South Carolina - Georgia, Auburn, Florida
Tennessee - Vandy, Kentucky, Alabama
Texas A&M - LSU, Arkansas, Miss State
Vandy - Tennessee, Ole Miss, Mizzou
Seems like there's a lot of buzz about 4* LB Brandon Lee committing to Mizzou this Friday. A lot of the 247 guys updated their prediction today and 80% are for Mizzou.

I'd love to finish this class with Wallace, Johnson, Lee, Sawyer, and Wingo.
OU for me. Can't stand the Gooners. In the last 15 years, they single-handedly stopped us from going to a national title game in football and going to the Final Four in basketball.

Here's the quick summary in my opinion:

Tigerboard - The original Mizzou board that was created in the 90's. That's why it has the traffic that it does despite absent ownership and no format updates. Only people that like the format is the old timers. Worthless for in-depth discussion because threads don't get bumped back to the top. Basically the twitter of message boards.

Power Mizzou - The most popular pay site for Mizzou. Good traffic. It is worth the money if you care enough about recruiting.

Rock M Nation - Great analysis, but as someone else said it is not really a message board and they get off topic quite a bit.

SEC Rant - Ideal format and traffic is growing. Nice to have other SEC fans here to talk about relevant topics.

Surprisingly this pretty much covers it. Tigerboard has such a big following simply because there are very few competitors (other than Power Mizzou which costs money).

Dude Clemson's pre-game intro gives me chills. It is by far the best in the sport.

I cannot stand it. Does anyone know if powermizzou is worth paying for? The thought of paying for forum access is unappealing to me.

If you like recruiting info then it is worth it. I agree it is weird to pay to use a message board, but I like hearing the random recruiting rumors.

Looks like 247 is trying to start their own Mizzou site.

I just wish Mizzou had a better free board. Tigerboard looks like it is from the 80's.

I love the Rock M - think it is one of the only features that makes our stadium unique.

However, these are the changes I would make:

- stop counting hill seating in our total capacity; it clearly should be overflow.
- eventually build permanent seating on either side of the Rock M
- somehow use the Rock M in the game intro - maybe have players run down either side of it, similar to Clemson and Howard's Rock (this may be stupid but I am just spit balling here)

Anyone else hate Tigerboard?

The format blows but it has been around so long that it is the only free board our fanbase uses.

I wish someone would create a new Mizzou board that is setup similar to Vol Nation or (gasp) Hogville (without the retards).

Yeah yeah this is a stupid thing to complain about, but I really hate Tigerboard.
