Should Atlanta be the permanent host of the SECCG?

Personally, the bias is probably strongest when UGA, Auburn, or Bama are in. Geography makes it cheaper to attend and the 30,000 or so "open to the public" seats get overwhelmingly taken up by the closer school.

Other than that, where else would it get held? It needs to be central-ish. It's better for it to be in a climate-controlled stadium.

Houston and New Orleans are the only other climate-controlled stadiums (that come to mind) and they're definitely not central.

Ive never once heard a single LSU fan advocate for rotating the sugar bowl site. Weird.

When Nashville Dome gets built it’ll be a good place to consider

Nashville really is a better spot. Atlanta is too much of an advantage for Georgia. They have no instate rivals and now they live in the back yard of the SECCG stadium.

With BK as your head coach you will never have to worry about the SECCG again.

No

Sec championship is not a bowl game.

Sugar bowl was stared in New Orleans. Sec was always invited.

The bias is UGA...although it is reasonably close to 4-5 other schools. Even with Bama last year stadium was 70-30.

What needs to change is how tickets are distributed.

Giving only 1/3 of tickets to the schools playing creates the biggest bias.

Majority of tickets being sponsors and local seat holders favors UGA.

Regardless...most of the time the better team wins the SECCCG.

The location of the SECCG, in all honesty, really has no bearing on the fan following of either of the participants' followings nor does it play a factor in how the remaining seats are distributed-to fans whose teams are not participating.

It would probably shock most fans as-to how many seats are designated for media, VIPs and major corporate sponsors. The remaining few seats are distributed through the waiting list/lottery, are they not? A modified Masters model of sorts.

There is something to be said for the tradition of Atlanta. Also, the airport access combined with four major interstates that roll (creep) through there.

Atlanta is around the same distance for Bama, Tennessee and South Carolina. So probably the most centrally located, at least until the new Nashville stadium.

Because it’s a bowl game maybe? Would you like to start rotating the Peach Bowl too?

Atlanta is the most obvious choice for the game it’s the reason it has been there for so long. The other only 2 choices are Nashville and New Orleans.

Nobody wants to put the SECCG in Houston or Dallas with no history or connection to the conference.

Wasn’t LSU 3-1 vs UGA in the SECCG before last night? The location has nothing to do with how the SECCGs have played out.

If it’s not rotated, they should give each school 35000 tickets. And use the rest for corporate sponsorship
