A Texas A&M University administrator is behind bars, charged with a first-degree felony that carries a possible sentence of 25 years to life in prison, according to jail records.
Darvis Griffin, 55, serves as Texas A&M’s Executive Director of Information Technology.
He was arrested Sept. 3 by Texas A&M University police on a warrant out of McLennan County, charged with continuous sexual abuse of a young child.
To convict on the charge, prosecutors must prove two or more acts of sexual abuse against a child under 14, committed over a period of 30 days or more. The relationship between Griffin and the alleged victim has not been disclosed.
Griffin is being held in the Brazos County Jail, awaiting extradition to McLennan County, where he is expected to face a judge on the charge.
Texas A&M confirmed to KBTX that Griffin has been suspended, pending further investigation.

Yikes. First they get in bed with terrorists and now pedos. We should call a meeting to vote on their loss of institutional control and move forward with removal. Especially since they rostered that pro basketball player. Thats 3 strikes.

It’s good to see swift and decisive action by the University admin. That’s is in response to his arrest by University PD serving a warrant from another county.

Texas A&M = Pedo school. The Jerry Sandusky Penn state of the SEC. You guys need to be removed immediately so the SEC isnt associated with this.

It wasn't stolen money bud. It was money being funneled through it but hey you go ahead and take up for a child molester. I bet if the FBI raided you computer you'd be in jail.
