So what's the general feeling? Do most think he's going to be fired?

My feeling, which has as much clout as a TD emoticon, is that he will fired.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have a Drano and arsenic mojito I need to attend to.

My mother worked at the University of Arkansas and paid leave is the ducks in a row for the shite can. He is GONE now just a matter of time to work out all the buy out clause and NOT pay him his money.

I pray that some boosters can or will come in and stop it but the University will cover the University and I think he is GONE.

I sort of think he's damaged goods anyway. It's just conjecture, but it seems like it would be hard for him to bounce back and do really well next year. He'll be like the wicked witch without her magic monkeys. Better to jump ship now and get someone who isn't damaged for the long term health of the program rather than hold on to the shell of something that can no longer exist. Arkansas deserves more than that.

You're right pig jr. WHAT the hell is everyone ranting about...this is perfectly normal and acceptable behavior for a major college head coach !
PLEASE re-read your post...that is IF you can extricate your head from your %$# first...what a MORON !

It can go either way, you could have the scenario you laid out or you could have a scenario where everyone rallies around him with an "us against the world" mentality. Unfortunately the latter is much less likely due to the player respect issue (see my post on page 11). It could happen, just very low odds. Much higher chance of it being a distraction and a hinderance on the program.

The longer this goes by the better for Petrino, If he is not fired today then I think he will not be. fwiw

Not to mention all the other ramifications but this is a recruiting nightmare. How does BP sell himself to a kids parents now? Either Arky cuts ties and takes the tough blows now or they die a slow death later. Take your pick.

Richt has been banging the team's water girl for years and no one seems to care.

All about perception, man. Richt can play it off saying he just took that fine young woman to a hotel to read psalms and she just happened to agree with him very loudly, over and over.

No. If anything he'll get a raise and a contract extension. Remember, this is the state that elected Bill "Haven't I slept with y'all before?" Clinton governor. Twice.

arkansas is the seventh best program in the SEc. they just had their first top five finish in 35 years. They just had their SECOND ten win season since joining the SEC. They went to their first major bowl game in over TWO DECADES. Since hiring petrino, thier footbnall revenue is up 59 percent. they arent cutting their nose off to spite their face.

Let me give you a nugget of wisdom, there is no such thing as real morals in politics.

The candidate who's trying to run on the moral high ground platform is literally nuts. That is not just a perception from the media, he really is nuts in person.
