A firing right now would set the Arky program back at least 5 years. You could just throw next year in the shitter, they'll lose Wilson and good luck with whatever scrub new guy you get to come in and compete in the SEC recruiting game. It's like your ear, if you bend your ear down (and even hold it there for a while), it will pop back into it's original position as soon as you let go. So, that's what happens when you have the surgery done, it tries to go back to it original placement bc of memory.
But like I told you in that thread, mine was mild-moderately deviated. I never knew about it and it didn't bother me. I had some problems breathing on that side when I was laying down, but I sleep on my right side, so it was a non-issue. I only found out about it bc I broke my nose. Also, I only agreed to let him "fix it" bc he had to do surgery on me to fix my broken nose.

Good thing for Jeff Long is that he won't be making the ultimate decision whether or not Petrino gets to keep his job. That decision will come from the higher up's in the program, i.e. President/Chancellor & the powerful BOT's. That's how it works, and rightly so IMO.

Ok. My was almost completely deviated on both sides. They didn't just remove cartilege but bone too. That's why it is such a long recovery I guess. While the cartelige may move back I doubt I regrow the bone that has been removed. What sucks is that he couldn't completely remove as much as he wanted b/c he was afraid he'd damage the nerves to my teeth.
It's got to be an improvement.

I agree, just trying to get back to topic, not that there was anything wrong with a little hijack.
I think a rumor like that on hogville almost confirms there will be nothing released at 3PM.

I doubt bone will go back to it's original position. The nerves in my nose are still messed up (almost 8 months later). The ENT doesn't know if it's from the surgery or the softball slamming into my face. The tip of my nose is still numb and the lower part of my nose/upper part of my mouth hurts really bad in the morning. The ENT said it sounded like the nerves were trying to grow back.

I don't understand what is taking so long. The guy is a piece of shite that was fricking a young mans fiancé and he should be fired. Arkansas needs to fire him and start the coaching search.

If I had to fancy an educated guess: the UA lawyers are seeing if they have "cause" to fire him without paying him a dime.
I don't think the affair is going to bite him in the arse. It will be lying to the AD and hiring his mistress for (what appears to be) a coveted job in the Athletic Dept. Just my $.02 though.
