While I don't think the NCAA will bench JFF, it won't be because of the threat of a lawsuit. If he broke an NCAA rule that he agreed to follow when he signed his schollie, then it does not matter if the NCAA punishes him and no one else. That would be like suing the highway patrol because everyone was speeding, but you're the only one who got a ticket.

This is a valid analogy except there are just too many people on the highway.

The deal with Clowny is that he simply made a statement and they moved on. But - he has many sequentially numbered graphs with same broker. This shrinks the highway quite a bit.

I will say this - I would not want to be on the other end of depositions explaining why I acted a certain way given equal evidence.

On a side note - in this information age - I'm waiting for random fans and hackers to go after media personalities. Its a new strange age. If you spend your time constantly beating someone down it seems someone is gonna have a shot of you in a titty bar or with a blow one day hit the "presses"

The world is getting smaller.

As of today - mo matter who you are - I would pray you have nothing already on tape and behave from here on out.

If Manziel plays this year, A&M is going to a BCS Bowl, maybe the big one. If he doesn't, might win nine or more games. Basically, the NCAA is going to HAVE to suspend him, or the lawyers will HAVE to deem it too risky for the guy not to play.

The NCAA is a joke. Anyone see they revoked the eligibility of a former Marine for playing intramural sports in the years prior? Really? What a bunch of idiots... and if JFF wasn't a celebrity he would have already been suspended, with or without proof.

That is what the NCAA does. But make no mistake, the NCAA does NOT want JFF speaking out against them in the O'Bannon case whether they can prove he is guilty or not. The NCAA will do nothing, because they lost control long ago. Everything since is just an illusion.

quote]The question now is this: Was A&M inept or corrupt — and which is worse? Did school officials bury their heads in the pile of money that Johnny Paycheck made for them and not want to know what was going on around them? Or did they actually know what was going on and choose to ignore it, hoping that Johnny Paycheck would make them another big pile of money this season? Either way, the NCAA needs to come down and come down hard on Manziel. Actually, if Texas A&M has any integrity, the Aggies themselves should recognize that Manziel blatantly broke the rules and immediately suspend him for the season.[/quote]

Hog, the defense looks to be better than expected, and the offense is going to be GOOD... Our WR corps is going to be awesome, and we play noone except Alabama for the first part of the schedule while the units get better and better.

Really, if JFF plays we will be better than last year. If not, we will still be able to beat most of our schedule including your Hogs with little effort. But don't take my word for it - this is THE most talented team A&M has fielded in YEARS.

The evidence against JFF and Clowney is not "equal." As of yet, no one has publicly claimed knowledge of Clowney getting paid for his signature.

The Manziel's will never sue the NCAA. That would give the NCAA's attys an opportunity to put him & Uncle Ned under oath & issue subpoenas to all the brokers as witnesses. And that would drag this out for yrs & yrs. I would think that they want some resolution so JFF can move on the big leagues.

There is also supposedly a video?

If an investigation of Manziel leads you to a shop and next to his stuff are other players with numbered lots, then you have everything you need to inquire. Once they inquire - it all blows up. We all know that. My point is they don't want anyone but Manziel for whatever reason. But it is not going to be that simple.

My belief is that ESPN has the motive to push this bus for obvious reasons and they keep it alive so the pressure is on the NCAA. But the NCAA is a tight spot for the reasons I said. It won't be that simple. This isn't somebody buying an apartment for the parents or giving somebody 300,000 for recruiting.

This is pandoras Box. Sooo many athletes do this. To see ESPN and fans of other schools pile on is sad quite frankly because if you have a pulse you know you have had guys do it. Its like everyone is willing to break the bro code because they hate JFF so bad.

Same logic applies thought, right? Why would someone sign thousands of autographs for someone they didn't know solely so they could make tons of money?

Simple solution is Ag's sit him for a two game suspension. Everybody saves face. A&M doesn't need him in the first two games anyway.

nate is his body guard hired by the family...Uncle Nat would fall under the Cecil Newton rule and would cause problems I am afraid for JFF

I agree, but logic, hell even common sense, isn't evidence.

Ok Guys, ya'll can close the thread down cause Big12fan has summed this up in less than 20 words. This is the post of the thread..

Let me make this simple:

ESPN is pushing this story on MANZIEL and CHOOSING NOT to push the same story on CLOWNY et al.

A&M nor your school would buckle because ESPN decided to push a story against your player.

What if ESPN printed every day " Clowny has 300 helmets signed in sequence, not associated with cancer families with the same broker as Manziels. We also have a photo of Clowny in a hotel room signing photos. The NCAA has given no reason why they have not looked into these matters"

Everyone knows its the same shite. EVERYONE. If you want JFF to go down and not Clowny you are a hater. Its either all or nobody. I pick nobody. No proof.

But what if - WHAT IF - ESPN printed that crap every day in another form. Then brought up JZ. They could make it a HUGE story.

This is a witch hunt. Its not about what school you root for. Its about the athletes and the NCAA. and if you want it to be about rules - then its not just JFF. FACT.

That is the delay. Anyone that knows anything about sports knows athletes do this to make side money. The graphers are pissed at JFF. Dont side with them.

Be fricking men. Side with the JFF and Clownys of the world. Yes - they are the same.
