nah, aggies just pouring over every detail hoping that out-witting the typical fan by obsessing over every possible scrap of new info might change the course of the investigation.

questions for you
- Do you think Johnny Manziel is the only active player that has accepted cash for signatures?
- Do you believe the NCAA has the legal right to sell player signatures but keep players from receiving any proceeds?
- Do you believe the autographed stuff on the NCAA website has all been obtained through methods the NCAA deems acceptable?
- Do you believe that the O'Bannon case would be strengthened by multiple high profile players joining it?
These are all issues the NCAA likely has to deal with if they get to the bottom of this. Again, I think he's fricking guilty, but that doesn't change the reality of the world we live in.

The reality of this world is that JM threw his teammates under the bus just so he could get new tire rims for his parent's paid for fancey car. Whether or not it can ever be proven is doubtful, but the general consensus is that he did take the $$$. All the rest of his BS just shows how immature & spoiled he is & that is no big deal in the big picture. But selling out his teammates out of pure selfishness is a whole nother matter.

I love how this thread really is going through all the emotions of ATPB. Pretty soon people are going to start turning up dead and there will be ritual sacrifices and seances
Nobody fell up the stairs and died because of ATPB. I think that was during bammer's probation.

JFF =/= Rosa Parks

This is the major issue I think the NCAA may fear. It's pretty obvious that many of the biggest names in the game are doing this. I doubt the NCAA wants to have to go and suspend the biggest names from schools that all happen to be in the power 5 conferences.
With all the talk of potentially leaving the NCAA completely they are on thin ice. They already have lost about half their enforcement staff over the Miami fiasco.
On top of pissing off several schools in power conferences, all players involved would likely immediately join the O'Bannon lawsuit.
They are in a tricky spot. Staying hard and fast with the rules could actually hasten their demise.
I won't be shocked if they suspended JFF and ignore the other players who are obviously getting paid but I also wouldn't be surprised if Johnny gets to slide b/c they don't want high profile players to join the O'Bannon lawsuit.

I haven't kept up with this story since the initial breaking. How is it looking for Manziel? Better? Worse? Any new evidence?
Looks about the same, no new developments

I'm mad that this little punk has the potential to ruin college football as we know it. One way or another this whole situation will result in some changes,
Don't blame Johnny for ruining college football. That's already happened because of greed and corruption and lack of ethical behavior. If changes are made because of this, maybe they will be for the better.

autographs. They were selling Johnny Manziel* autographs straight off the NCAA website. No shite.
* actually the screenshots I've seen were of Manziel and McCarron. I assume there were other players as well but they are all gone now

WTF? If this were reversed, you aggie fricks would be all over another teams best player like stink on shite. If this were AJ & Bama you want us to believe that your fanbase would be in support of AJ and on board with letting him play? You know that wouldn't be the case. You would be stating your aggie code and questioning his ethics and moral standards. We will all laugh at your fanbase the next time any one of you brings up any BS about aTm having a higher moral compass.
BTW...many pages back I actually defended JFF in regards to him not violating all 3 aTm codes. That was until I read the story about him stealing $hit at Walmart. I'm sure you idiots will say it didn't happen because daddy jumped in to save him. We all know the truth there. So he is actually a liar, cheat, and thief. Perfect leader for aTm!

You know what really, really helped out AU/Cam during their bullshite?
Everyone being on the same page and presenting a united front.
Auburn folks, from the President to the AD to the coaching staff to the players to the AU fans were freakin "ALL IN" with Cam Newton and up until the BCSCG they were open arms to Cecil as well. Chizik & Co kept those kids focused and mentally strong through all that shite - he kept them motivated and hungry to prove the nay-sayers wrong.

The interview is to re-iterate that Johnny did not receive payment for autographs. The lawyer stated they have not seen any evidence of Johnny accepting payment for autographs.
Just for the record, defense counsel stating he has not seen evidence of Johnny accepting payments is not saying "Johnny did not receive payment for autographs."
He may think Johnny is innocent. He may think Johnny is guilty as hell. He may even KNOW Johnny is guilty but his job is to advocate for his client, which is what he is doing here. He put out a positive statement that can't later be held up as being part of a coverup should 'evidence' surface.

this just in from aggieland: ncaa bases all decisions off O'Bannon lawsuit regardless of its relevance to situation.
