I was just a walk on but my room mates were scholarship guys. They would blow their off campus checks on stupid shite like TVs, couches, video game systems, alcohol, strip clubs, and a couple days after getting the check they'd be out of money knocking on my bedroom door asking for money so they can eat. I'd tell them too bad, so sad that you blew through $1,000+ in 3 days.
NCAA athletes would not be able to handle the money anyway. 95% of them would blow it on worthless shite.
They are already taken care of.

They have him implicitly admitting to accepting money. Combined with the litany of other stuff out there, it's probably going to be enough for the NCAA to recommend that A&M sit him indefinitely.

They don't allow hearsay evidence anymore so I assume that Joe Shaad can't testify however if any of these guys tells them that they gave or saw money changing hands or they just decide that enough smoke equals fire (Rare but has happened) then they can just suspend him.
There is no due process, no real legal recourse like you guys think. Lightfoot keep them from getting what they needed in Camgate, and created the loophole and that keep Cam alive. However, there was never anyone that told anyone they saw the money being exchanged, etc.
To me the real player was Slive. He is the real fixer. The NCAA knows it is done with football in a few years and really is ready to be done with it. This really puts A&M in a box.
But unlike Camgate there is way too much talk on this deal, and I am sure there are as many UT big daddy warbuck alums looking to buy the tape (Figuratively) as there are A&M guys. That tape will probably be enough to retire JFF and it has to be worth Millions now.
Does anyone on here really believe this guy, that sales autographs for a living, isn't going to sell it to the highest bidder? Now thanks to ESPN the whole world knows about it, and that it is for sale. I bet ESPN will even bid on it. (LOL)
I am sure there are Whitehorse associates burning midnight oil to think of some way to claim some Alabama state law was violated, etc. to seek an injunction or something on the tape. But them are there any A&M Judges on the Bench in Bama?

No it wont, but how can you justify players attempting to make money from their name when the NCAA has become a multi billion dollar organization partly because of that.

I don't know if its hearsay if he saw the tape. It would be hearsay as far as what the broker told him, but as far as what he heard on the tape would be first hand I would assume.

People have mentioned about A&M boosters purchasing the tapes to keep this out of the medias view. How about CBS execs? Manziel in that 2:30 time slot against Bama is a helluva lot more valuable than joe schmo at QB and A&M getting trucked.

Broker says that he won't cooperate with the NCAA...but he sure is talking a lot.
As far as evidence goes...if the guy is a legit broker...licensed, doing everything above board with the IRS, with meticulous business records...my guess is that would be more than enough for the NCAA. If it's good enough for evidence of a deductible business expense for the IRS, it probably good enough for the NCAA, should the guy at some point decide to cooperate.

At this point, I think the lawfirm is involved more to protect A&M's interests than to protect Manziel's, maybe even including a lawsuit from the Manziels against A&M.
