Oh noes. Johnny may have broken one of the most ridiculous rules in sports!!?!
Everyone can profit off of players besides the players themselves. These kids make millions upon millions of dollars for their schools and the NCAA has the effrontery to suspend players for profiting on their own fame? I find it appalling.
Guilty or not, I hope he gets away with it. The NCAA is an absurd institution. Every time they claim a school lacks institutional control I laugh to myself. What a joke of an organization. They go on witch hunt after witch hunt all while slandering whoever they want along the way. Rarely do they admit fault or have a shred of consistency in their punishments.
I hope Johnny is cleared, makes it to the NFL, and on day one in the league says "frick you NCAA, I took money and there is nothing you can do to me."

Why you mad though?
I agree it is a stupid rule, and hopefully this episode will cause a rule change. It's senseless for memorabilia brokers to be able to make thousands off of an athlete's name, when the athlete can't make a dime. At the same time I can empathize with Georgia fans who want some sort of equal punishment.
My concern isn't the crime, but the spot he has put his team in under the existing rules.

He continuously puts his team in a bad position. That is undeniable.

It's not like he needed the money. JMFF is the wrong cat to do the whole 'The NCAA makes so much money and the players can't afford pizza and weed.'
But seriously if it was someone like the Clemson kid a few years ago who had to be a guardian to his younger brother and was struggling to get by then I'd have sympathy but a moran like jmff who's family is loaded has no excuse for this bullshite!

There are at least 3 guys now using a fake Iraqi Information Minister avatar. At least I think that's who that's supposed to be. My only question is why not use the real guy? Is this some SNL skit I missed?
I have a coffee cup at work that reads something like "No American will ever drink coffee from this cup. Never!"

But I hope he plays every game this year, I'm curious to see what will happen with the Ags on the field with jff in 2013.

You and the rest of the sporting world, if they're honest with themselves

honestly, i think well be fine. losing manziel throws out any chance we have against bama and LSU. but we should still be able to win the rest of our games

was Tom Albetar the second autogragh man?
If so, this evaporates quickly.
If the second autograph guy was Milton McGregor, then Richt has lost control and Tulane will be kicked out of the SEC.

I mean a lot of people don't like him as a person or the way he handles himself off the field, so in that aspect I can totally understand why they'd want him to be suspended. But in terms of football, I can't understand why anyone wouldn't want to beat/lose to A&M at their best.
And although obviously they would miss him greatly, I think people underate the talent level around him so they'd still have a pretty solid offense as long as Joekel could get the ball to Evans who's a beast and I think they have a TE type cat or that's pretty beast.
And Brandon Williams is gonna make some plays for sure.
