Evidence of possible crimes have to be reported. If there is an issue, it's that that part was released from the report publicly. As the party involved stated, he was unconscious and didn't recall anything. It could have been a criminal act.

ETA: What I don't get, this kid keeps saying that his life was ruined by the media, but did anyone know the kid's name or what he looked like before the presser yesterday?
