This is why AI powered game development may be a good thing. Humans can lay the groundwork, but let AI evolve the game in customized paths.

Or, it just gives more people the capability to be able to create the games they like with much less barrier to entry. IE being able to code or investments. If you don’t have to cater to investors demands then you can make the type of games you enjoy without worrying about how much money you make.

Right right. I get them mixed up sometimes because they (edit: it and no country for old men) were released in theaters about the same time.

Point still remains. It was already written by a person and not AI.

quote:

have the silly robots do an AI version of There Will Be Blood and tell me what it spits out .... all full of soul because of the computer generated story.

I know you know that There Will Be Blood was written by Cormac McCarthy and not computer generated.

Nobody is advocating that the ai write the stories right now. Maybe that will happen, but right now all of it is either memes or scenes created by AI from things that have already been written by humans.

I'd guess that's exactly what the people in this thread are thinking about. And how that's not good for anybody outside of the tech bros who own the companies.

Doesn’t seem like it because everyone is acting like this is the peak and it’s still “ai slop.” Get used to it now because how are you or will anyone for that matter stop it?

A few posts after your a guy says that in a few years a person will be able to put into a prompt "Make The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson into a movie" and AI will do it.

What kind of genius creative team is that?

You completely missed the point. The Brandon Sanderson stuff is already being made. It may be good and accurate to the books, it may not. There hasn’t been a lot of stuff coming out recently that makes me want to give them the benefit of the doubt that it won’t be changed significantly from the books. If someone is disappointed, they will likely be able to just have it made for themselves and be satisfied. Honestly, I’d like to be able to do something like that for any number of properties that have been fricked up or will never get made because of the Hollywood execs that are more concerned about making their money.

This board has bitched and moaned countless times over the years about various shows or movies that have been ruined (Star Wars, Game of Thrones, etc) by Hollywood. How many upvotes have you seen on some random landshark drunken fan service rant about how game of thrones should’ve gone? He could make that happen now

It's some dork online with no talent that can put into a prompt "Combine Star Wars and Lord of the Rings and make it movie". Wow, cool idea genius! What a creative mind that 14 year old is.

This was a meme you’re making a bigger deal out of than it is.

And with AI, you're conceding that for you to be an artist, you have to steal from the liberals, gays, and blacks that created the pool of art that you're looting from. Which (if you can rationalize past that) is the perfect formula to make money or to distort creative reality to fit your needs.

Funny you say this, because from what I’ve seen the past few years it’s been the liberals, gays, and blacks that have been looting the pool of art to put their own messages in

Its the opening chapter to Way of Kings, which the series it is from, Stormlight Archive, was optioned for production by AppleTV last week in a massive unprecedented deal.

Exactly, and how much did it cost the guy in OP to make this vs what it will end up costing Apple?

Like I said, this is a baby’s first step. Nobody in this thread seems to be thinking about how fast this is all progressing
Yeah it looks soulless but the intent isn’t to look at this like a trailer that they want to market to audiences to go pay to see a movie. You’re supposed to look at this and think back to what was coming out from AI ~2 years ago or less. Mostly stills that might move slightly. Like the balenciaga memes.

We are in baby’s first steps territory right now. I won’t be surprised if instead of giving the prompts this guy did, you could end up just saying “make me a movie from Brandon Sanderson’s book The Way of Kings” in a couple years and have something light years better looking than the X post in OP

Personally, I look at stuff like this and look forward to the future because how many times now has a fanbase been burned on a book to screen adaptation that is utter shite, and nothing like the book? Or it hasn’t ever been made at all because the studios look at it and decide they will never make any money on it. Now there’s possibilities that there never were before
Well I mean it still looks pretty much the same with the same enemies in the first couple minutes. I’m talking about the jumping and wall running. So at least environments will be somewhat different.

I’m not expecting much different in terms of story, inventory, and overworld map/level system

This actually got me interested since nioh 2 was too much like nioh for me. Looks like they’ve added some cool elements to the game so it’s not such a cut and paste again

Also I think it’s when the stirling battle is basically done and there’s just a few stragglers in the background fighting. A couple dudes clearly thought they heard “cut!” and quit fighting on screen.
I really need to finish P5R. I got about halfway last year but took a break and haven’t gone back. Luckily it doesn’t seem like a game where I’m going to have to go back and redo things. If it was I’d drop it since I’ve read it takes 120 hours

The majority also pays billions to watch Disney marvel cut and paste shite which is what this was. So me being in the minority isn’t some own like you think it is. This board also loved alien Romulus because it was “fun and enjoyable.”

No this wasn’t a “traditional” predator movie. Didn’t even feel like a predator movie at all to me. Great job Disney

My god man I just finished this. I seriously cannot believe so many on this board liked this movie and the ratings are so good. It would take me so long to write up all the things that are wrong with it and it supposedly being a predator movie. I really don’t know where to begin with this shite
