The Thursday vote, even if there is one, will end with the conference deciding not to vote out LSU but to issue a very sternly worded letter that voices its disappointment with LSU bringing in pro players (which never happened) and vowing that if something like this happens again, the league will take a hard look at reevaluating the situation.

LSU is not getting voted out.

Sankey is trying to save face after being made to look like the fool that he is.

This is a pissing contest of epic proportions and, at some point, the league is going to circle around a founding member that has done nothing illegal before embracing the wishes of Sankey.

The world was on Sankeys side as far as the players joining the team

Now that kiffin has not rostered them, pressing this will quickly get public sentiment against them.

You can see it on this board in real time.

Sankey is like Col. Jessup in A Few Good Men at this point.

ESPN has contractual rights to LSU (because they are in the SEC). If SEC votes LSU out of SEC, ESPN will have something to say overall potential revenue loss.

The SEC would owe Disney over $100million if they booted LSU. They didnt pay all that money for a 15 team league.

Maybe you haven't noticed that LSU fans aren't that upset with this and laugh at the joke of a situation that it is.

but Kiffin/LSU putting it in writing or whatever they'll never play could toe the line of them being sanctioned by the Court.

1) Federal court >> state court
2) the judge added them that so LSU could make that exact argument. If you think a Baton Rouge judge up for reelection is actually going to sanction LSU I have some oceanfront property in Nebraska to sell you

Why does the SEC not care about NCAA ruled ineligible QB playing at Ole Miss?
