Usual trolling aside, there are the really rare few here who are so eaten up with their "chosen" program that it consumes every waking moment of their day and affects them on a deep, deep level.

They just can't seem to reconcile how the rest of the world won't neatly fit into the narrative that they've created inside their head — I mean, how can they — just look at that speck right there in their brother's eye, can't you see it! Here's more research they've done about him to virtually prove it exists!

I think about those people sometimes, slipping into their officially-licensed sheets at night, surrounded by dusty, outdated memorabilia, chuckling quietly to themselves about how their brother just has everything so hilariously wrong, while never seeming to consider... or even contemplate... that plank of their own fifth losing season in a row.

Nighty-night, little friend.

General endowments are insurance policies against collapse and so the school can take out loans for big projects.

You cant expect the average Bama fan to understand this since they never actually attended classes at the university they support

Kids don’t start giving back to the school immediately upon graduation… most begin doing that in their late ‘30s and early ‘40s. Those instate kids that Bama neglected are all about 25-45 now and they are just recently noticing they don’t have as big of a doner pool as they thought they would after rapid enrollment increases.

I went to a game at The Citadel last season. At halftime, they announced that the Class of 2004 raised 117 thousand in contributions for the school for that single game. The Class of 1984? 2.2 million. Money speaks loudly in athletics, and the older generation comes up with more of it!

Is this true?

Poor ol' Alabama. Where in the heck could we even find a few thousand or even tens-of-millions of dollars if we ever did need it?

I wouldn't even have a clue where to start.

Did they lose their competitive advantage when buying players became legal?

You would have to completely ignore recruiting rankings to arrive at this conclusion. The Saban era will not be replicated but Bama is still Bama and still getting top classes.

The run Bama had won’t be seen again in the portal and NIL era. Saban was a solid coach but his true strength was picking the right situation. He learned that there was no way he could out coach others at Mich St or Miami but at Bama he had a bagman system second to none. He didn’t make great players elite, he bought elite players. And he won. Now that every team can buy players and the portal has destroyed depth those days are over. Kirby will be also bail at some point once 3 losses become the norm and the fanbases turn on them.

Or, you know, the actual signed contracts.

Probably used their real names to execute them too, not just an 'X' like some backwoods hillbilly from the woods of the Ozarks.

Is this true? Makes sense they dropped hard last year and there had to be a reason Saban was getting out. Did they lose their competitive advantage when buying players became legal?

Yeah, no way he could have upset a team like #1 Ohio St with an unranked Michigan St team.

It's refreshing to see that you spread your retardation to other fanbases that NEVER lose to Arky.

I know my team won’t compete for Natties because we aren’t a dumb enough fanbase to give away our money to teenagers and who have no loyalty. I’m enjoying watching others do it though and still not getting the golden ring. I’m fine winning 7-9 games while players fleece NIL from schools who think it means something.
