I think McElroy is a good color guy. He is knowledgeable and has a pretty good delivery. There are times when I think he wants to appear neutral about Bama

I didn't like McElroy as a player, but he does a good job as a color commentator.
It's amusing to hear bammers complain about him, I just hope no one shoots him.

Gmac has the 6pm time slot this year. The teams are decided by espn suits. Normally Gmac is very neutral on Bama. But last night, he was pumping the Bama offense big time. I think his natural hate for the Vols crept in. I laughed.

This and I will add that he does not know when to STFU. It’s just stream of conscious thought non-stop that takes you a while to realize it and is aggravating when you do.
