I met a 28-29 year old nose guard at Arkansas Tech back in the 90's I guess.

He'd been in the Marines for about 10 years so his eligibility clock had not started

Great dude

I've heard rumors Pittman is really impressed with his maturity and they're even considering allowing him to use the whole box of crayons to do his schoolwork with.

I remember hoping the Royals drafted this kid back in the day. Kansas City boy.

Good for him in this NIL world!

Is he the oldest college football player ever?

God no, weinke won a heisman at 28, byu regularly has a player over 25 on roster. Tons of 30 plus pro rugby players from Aussie have invaded over the years, I know usce vt and Clemson have all had former army vets over 40. Sc state had a rb that was 39 but the record is a 61 year old place kicker from farliegh Dickinson I believe

He is the oldest. He played college ball at Jones College in Mississippi when he was younger but was drafted into the Vietnam War and didn’t return to college after. He worked up until the Great Recession when he was layed off in 2009 and decided to give kicking another shot.

With NIL, it makes all the sense in the world. Why not make him the spokesman for AARP?

Quan Cosby vibes. I recall how phenomenal he was at Texas and great counterpart to Jordan Shipley. As an OU guy, was both frustrating and fun to watch.
