Why you ask. Because they can.

No. The only limitation on travel for the Aggie Band is if they only send the upperclassmen (what we did for the Bama game last year). But if they go, they march at halftime.
They only march at halftime if the home team allows them to march. Who the frick do you people think you are?

I heartily disagree. Always enjoyed seeing the opposing team bands at Kyle Field.
But you are ghey!

I think the issue is some state law regarding live animals in "mass" public gathering places (conveniently overlooked for their sow).

Kinda off topic and I hope all Arky fans have already seen this, but yeah, speaking of bands, funniest thing I've ever heard

Well it must be your disdain for arkansas because yall do the same thing. Our band and mascot weren't in Baton Rouge when I was there in '11.

That's really unfortunate--hate to hear it.
I enjoy seeing visiting teams' bands at halftime, as well as their mascots along the sidelines.
That's part of what makes college football atmospheres so great.
Arkansas's house; their rules.

And I'm sure others agree with you.
I'm bias ... but the Aggie Band drills are in a league of their own.
Again, the Hawgs get to make the call (pardon the pun); and they did just that.
Onward.

No live animals in the stadium? I guess all the Aggie wives and girlfriends are staying home.....

Arkansas fans have seen your band the last 4 years....we really don't need to watch them again.
Good luck with your midnight yell practice on hwy 112 tomorrow night.

Also, the thread title needs to be changed, as its a blatant lie

Did you even read the article? It actually says, they received a letter "that said you can come to the game, but you can't perform at halftime."
Quit being so butthurt. It said they could come to the game, but wouldn't be performing at halftime. Take your band, let them play your fightsong and whatever they want to play during the game, then go home afterwards...like every other team in the SEC does.
You have a limited amount of time at halftime...I've never seen a visiting band perform at UT's halftime...because the entire time is taken up by OUR halftime show.
There are plenty of other stadiums that don't allow teams to bring their live mascots onto the field. Guess they might be afraid of Mike the Tiger getting loose when LSU is in town. That is why most teams have both live mascots and have a costumed mascot, too.
aTm chose to only have a live mascot...they aren't being treated any differently than any other team that comes to Fayetteville.

The FTAB and Reveile did always go to Araknsas back in SWC days. Arkansas reciprocated. It wasn't a big deal. WTF? Why is Arky being such pussies about this? It isn't like we were in the same leage for. 70 years or so. Again, WTF?
And yes, The FTAB did play in Red Stick every other year from 85 until y'all chickend out in 95. And we are bringing it this year as well.
Our band travels. Deal with it folks.
