They don't want to lose halftime on top of losing the game?

I don't recall any SEC visiting bands ever playing in Fayetteville.

It is a long trip so that's not too surprising.

Does A&M not have a travel version of the band. I read that Auburn takes a 30 person band to Fayetteville.

I would be pissed if LSU didn't at least bring a travel band.

I think the issue is some state law regarding live animals in "mass" public gathering places (conveniently overlooked for their sow).

I've seen this discussion before, years ago, about live mascots and AR.

The band, a different story. And yes, the marching of the TAMU band would freak the locals the frick out.

No. The only limitation on travel for the Aggie Band is if they only send the upperclassmen (what we did for the Bama game last year). But if they go, they march at halftime.

The article literally states that your band is allowed to attend the game.

I like the part about "Arkansas only has a limited amount of home games."

And the Aggy's believe 'em.

All the Arky fans will have left by halftime. Just ask Auburn.
Mine as well well let the Aggie band play for the home crowd of Aggie fans there.

Kinda off topic and I hope all Arky fans have already seen this, but yeah, speaking of bands, funniest thing I've ever heard

maybe it's my disdain for arkansas, but this is a bush league move. Big Boys don't act this way.

Well it must be your disdain for arkansas because yall do the same thing. Our band and mascot weren't in Baton Rouge when I was there in '11.

Maybe it was in retaliation for y'all pulling this stunt in the past?

The Aggie Band is going to Baton Rouge this year

I don't know. I don't really care. IMO the home band should be the only one there unless it's at a neutral site.

Are they in the same league as Mizzo and Missou?

I heartily disagree. Always enjoyed seeing the opposing team bands at Kyle Field.

Especially the M.O.B. I was disappointed that they didn't make the trip this year. Bunch of brainiac smartalecks who really enjoyed poking fun at just about anything. They were just about the polar opposite of the FTAB, but I always liked them.

Exactly. Opposing bands are a curiosity for the home crowd--it's a cool experience to share the sound of your university on the road. The home crowd already knows what their band is all about.
