No idea who the author is but he is right that AR/MZ is an awful, forced "rivalry". Most of us would rather play A&M/LSU.
As long as we get Texas during Thanksgiving I will be happy with the new schedule/opponents. That also frees up Mizz to play their actual rival in Kansas on rivalry weekend. Win/win.

Fine by most Missouri fans. We would actually like to play a team that can make it competitive once in a while. Give us Kentucky on a regular basis.

I don’t know what this author’s obsession is with permanent opponents but it’s not like it matters. We’ll lose to anyone regardless of the name on their jersey, see the Liberty game.

The Egg Bowl is the only rivalry that has ever been worth watching on Thanksgiving day anyway. Should just keep your matchup with LSU.

We're tied w/the sips as your most played opponent at 79 games.
Next highest in the SEC are Ole Miss at 69 and LSU at 68.

Seems pretty clear to me that Pig should be getting A&M, Texas, and either OM or LSU.
Honestly I really think the SEC is screwing up big time w/this 3 perma rivals shite. They should be protecting rivalries first and worrying about schedule balance second. The schools are all getting enough money from ESPN that there is no longer any kind of excuse for anyone to be a permanent bottom dweller. Trying to force everyone to play every school every 4 years is dumb too now that there are so many schools and w/the portal making rosters damn near fully changed out every 2-3 years.
