Yeah, thats pretty bad. I guess they aren't real big on the concept of seamless transitions.

This is why I'm gripping.

Yet, they are building this gate just down the way.

The 2 story gate goes along with the original campus but sure as heck not that ugly modern abortion building screwing it all up.

Did anyone else notice all the steps around the buildings..

Is Arkansas trying to be the most fit University in the South? I mean geeze these hills are enough without more stairs.

We have so many trees how many do y'all need?

It's the School of Architecture. They feel obligated to have something edgy.

I'll say this, the interior of that (original) building is fantastic. Vol Walker has marble columns and winding marble staircases that are really impressive. I hope they don't screw that up, and I hope they can do something with the addition that is equally deserving of being saved 100 years from now, but, somehow, I kind of doubt it.

Uhhhhhh....I'm fairly certain that you're looking at representations of the topography.

I'm referring to the addition that has staircases built into the rendering around the hanging deck.

Okay...I was wondering if you meant that, but it didn't seem like an inordinate number of stairs. So I went with the thing that LOOKED like an inordinate number of stairs...

It's currently flat area that will no longer be flat according to the steps on the new building.

I did a story about the Vol Walker renovations recently. Talked to a construction worker that said they found a tent and full campsite in the attic of Walker Hall, complete with piss bottles and chicken bones and a bunch of other survival shite. They don't know if it was a student or a homeless guy, but they think it was a student.

Maybe this will help you understand what I'm referring to...

Mullin's Library is already on campus and pretty flat in that area.. That is why it was brought to my attention. Mullin's is in the back of the rendering and corner of the picture above.
