Not really. Those guys were coordinators before they were head coaches. Orgeron had prior head coaching experience and knew how to run a team. Pittman is nothing like Orgeron, Kirby or Dabo

And here’s another Ole Miss fan melting about Arkansas’s hire. It must really suck knowing you are going back to the cellar and that the hogs are back and y’all won’t beat us again for awhile.

When Arkansas hired Bert they were copying Bama.

Get big offensive linemen and run the ball down teams throats while controlling the clock and playing tough defense.

At the time of Bert's hire Bama was winning this way and Arkansas fans were excited.

This is where it went wrong for Bert and Arkansas. Bama gets elite talent and Arkansas gets 3 stars.

So now Arkansas is copying LSU but the results will be the same because LSU gets elite talent and Arkansas signs 3 stars.

Wth are you talking about?

Nutt ran a groung based offense well before Bret was here that worked pretty good.Bret was going back to that.

Pittman is not an attempt to copy anyone. He was the best option available ,is a great recruiter and well respected enough by his peers that the good ones want to coach with him.

This copy cat crap is stupid as hell. You get it?

They got a Joe Burrow?

Because you kinda have a Joe Burrow to make this work.

And that's before you get to having a CEH, and a stable of damned solid receivers.

Copying LSU is going after grad transfer QB’s because without Joe Burrow Coach O is probably on the hot seat.

We copied Auburn with Chad Morris and it was an epic fail.

I was reading the other night that when Odom was coming up the ranks under Pinkel that Pinkel had him handling the administrative duties from day one. That he was an assistant head coach before he was even an on the field coach. It's also good that he and Pittman are close friends and they can work this thing this way with Pittman likely leaning heavily on his subordinate.

I hope Coach Shirt Potatoes does lean on him for in-game management, halftime adjustments, clock management, bye week preparation, etc.
