I love the golf course, but this is true.

I was one of those underage drunk kids at one time, so I can't say anything.

The players love playing there. They always get up for the Little Rock games. That's enough for me.

A right of passage to attain a degree is the drunken weekend as a freshman in Little Rock. Especially if you aren't from central Arkansas.

I'm always amused by this. Do you people expect the players to come out and say, "Playing in LR sucks?" Of course not. Instead you'll get 1 or 2 Arkansas kids each year say how much they love it.

If they could do a double-blind, non-fat soy latte survey, I'm thinking at least 85% of the team would vote to play every game in Fayetteville.

Little rock fricking blows. If im a player the last thing I wan to do is travel 3 hours to little rock for a game. Not to mention the trainers and managers have to pack all the shite up and bring it to little rock. If I'm a player DWR stadium is my home where y things stay. It's where I train, workout and hang with my team. Little rock is just something I have to do because the school says so

this times elevendy three.

LR sucks, terribly.

Can't wait for the contract to run out so we can actually MAKE money at home games.

Fayetteville crowd gets really loud at times when it really wants to. But if it's not a top 25 matchup or if it's not a competitive game, the crowd is weak as hell.

I sat outside the student section in a lower deck seat last weekend, and some bitch kept telling me to sit down and was rude as hell about it. In Little Rock, everyone is having too much fun being drunk and cheering to be a dumb bitch.

Arkansas is the ONLY SEC SCHOOL who plays SEC games off campus.

:inb4cocktailparty: It doesn't count b/c its a tradition.

Playing State or LSU in Little Rock isnt.

The best Move that State and Ole Miss ever made was severing ties with Jackson. SOOOOOO GLAD WE DONT PLAY IN THAT DUMP ANYMORE.

It may not be, I've never been to a college game outside Arkansas (edit: except Sugar Bowl last year). I was just saying that as far as consistent crowd noise goes, War Memorial trumps Fayetteville. However, I don't think I've ever heard a crowd as loud as the Fayetteville crowd was last year against Bama. I think it's that I know what Fayetteville is capable of that makes me believe they are "weak" by not bringing that type of enthusiasm for every game.

The crowd at Fayetteville can impact the game, but only when they reach their "peak." I think War Memorial's crowd has a more consistent impact on the game, and that's partly due to the bowled in stadium that creates the echo effect and how close the seats are to the sidelines.

I love both stadiums, but I enjoy Little Rock games a little more.

Playing in Jackson was for State and Ole Miss but we ended it, and EVERYBODY from both schools love and prefer playing ON CAMPUS not 2+ hours away.

Actually, I don't mind keeping one game in LR, but we should swap LSU for the Shaggies starting next season...

But how would you know that if you have never been to a true away game out of your state? I would encourage you to start going to away games.

I started to enjoy them as much as the home games cause you get to see other parts of the SEC and country and guage the other stadiums and see all the other traditions in college football around other parts of the country .

It will make you appreciate the home games even more when you are playing a very big challenging opponent because you realize what a big advantage it can be.

I like you, Jon. But you're full of shite on this one. Fayetteville's atmosphere has been amazing this year. I call doubly bullshite if you are saying that despite sitting next to the most energetic section in the stadium.

I'll give you this much: it's NOT going to be super loud when you're up by 40 points. But look at Auburn and USCe...those were fairly competitive and the crowd was in it the whole time. I just know the whole gameday presentation is 10x's as good as it was last year.

Fayetteville has shown that if you put a winner on the field, there will be great crowds (baseball and basketball). I don't understand why some people think that same capacity doesn't exist consistently in football, where significantly less games are played.

As far as LR goes, the last time I went to a game there was against LSU in 2004 and I vowed to never go back. I hadn't been in a few years so I was anticipating the awesome LR crowd that everyone always talks about. We got blasted by LSU that day, but the crowd sat on their hands from start to finish.

LR had its time. That time is coming to an end. The program will be much, much better for it (says the 20,000 extra people who get to see the games). Also, I believe we have 5 commitments from the state of Arkansas this year. The argument that LR games are critical to recruiting is very, very quickly losing any sort of basis.

He was saying he'd never heard an Arkansas crowd louder than the Fayetteville/Alabama crowd last year, which was considered by at least one non-biased observer to have been the most intimidating crowd of the year in 2010.
