Bama is going to win the west. Arkansas is a favorite for 2nd in the West.

Wouldn’t worry about that this year.

I can actually get behind that idea. But only as a darkhorse. Bama is still the favorite.

We've got a difficult schedule and are nowhere near as deep as we need to be. That being said, we absolutely could.

I too am aware of just how much losing Catalon hurts. Saying he's special is an understatement. But I believe in Odom. No doubt he will scheme around & get the best out of the players we do still have on the field each and every week.

I also believe in Briles. With his offensive mind, KJ's grit & determination, a burgeoning group of wideouts, and a stable of sec worthy running backs, we should be able to put up the points needed to offset any deficiencies in a thin secondary.

Lastly and more importantly, I believe in Pittman, Kennedy, & our OL. This is the SEC. Games are won in the trenches. No one understands that more than an old o-line coach. The Bryce Youngs & Will Rogers of the league will 100% be a problem for us. So we'll just have to dominate the time of possession and keep the ball out of their hands. Just like we did at the end of the Cincinnati game.

Caveat: It's a long season. We've played 2 games.

We have a chance, yes.

There's been 4-5 touchdowns not on us because the QB just flat out missed the throw.

We could easily be 0-2

For now, I'm saying no.

If we beat A&M/Alabama within the next 3 weeks... then maybe.

That's very unlikely.

Arkansas had two TDs, one went into the hands of Landers easy TD but dropped and if Chris Paul doesn't take a knee before recovering the ball and Running for a TD.

58-30.

Arkansas is good, but their schedule is brutal. And the SEC West is pretty good top to bottom, but no standouts so far as the obvious #2, though I’d definitely have Arkansas there now. I just think the the 2-7 teams are gonna cannibalize each other a bit and Bama isn’t losing the 2 or 3 games it would probably take for another team to come out of the West. I think they’d need Tennessee to beat them to have a loss from the East to give any West team to have a chance.

Every team has weaknesses. Everyone is going to glare at our secondary, but our STRENGTHS are going to keep us in every game we play.

That’s not good news for when y’all play us.

But honestly Bama looked vulnerable. I can see the West division winner having a couple losses, or a tie scenario between 2 or 3 teams

Weak secondary as of now but a solid defensive line and a strong linebacker core in Bumper pool and Drew Sanders.

Mississippi State will abuse our secondary

State-Arkansas has a chance to be one of the best games of the year when we get to it. And could be higher profile than many would expect depending on what happens the next few weeks.

State has lsu, bowling green, Aggie before then.

Arky has Missouri state, Aggie, Alabama.

State could be 5-0. 4-1 at worst
Arky is probably 4-1 with loss to Bama but they could pull the upset imo.

Both teams being 5-0 would be fun

Our secondary sucks but Bama's receivers suck too. Bryce would have to be perfect against us.

I think we can defend their run mostly with ease.

very good BYU on the road, late in the year

You must not have watched the game. I watched all of it. Baylor isn't very good and will lose a number of games this year. Their play calling is just a step better than dog shite.
