It is truly sad that people think this is a bigger problem than our own govt supporting Al Qaeda and ISIS affiliates in Syria to violently bring down a secular, women and minority protecting Syrian govt on behalf of Saudi head choppers and Israeli supremacists. Read the 2102 DIA Memo. And according to Hillary's own words, revealed in Wikileaks, we decided to push for regime change in Syria, for Israel. I am far more concerned about going to war, AGAIN, for Israel, than I am about a few Klansmen, most of whom are probably on the payroll of the FBI.

Why is it that every race on the face of this planet can say they're proud, but white people can't? If you eliminated every race that has been involved in some sort of slavery or bigotry,the planet would be void of humanity. It also goes to show how utterly effective propaganda has been on society in the last 30 years.

What is there to be proud of? Like because some white guy landed on the moon that makes you better in some way?

Honestly, it's kinda silly to put any sort of personal pride into the amount of melanin you have in your skin, IMHO. But acting like white folks can't be proud of their ethnicity for fear of being racist is even more silly. It's a double standard, and I hate double standards.

How far back do we go to be proud of our ancestors?
One side of my family were poor, but solid, good people who contributed much to settling their part of the country.
The other side were decent, but full of useless drunks.
I'm not necessarily "proud" of either side, but try to take a realistic view.

That is the problem! Some may have seen it as a lifestyle, reputation, and/or cultural point of view and not as a color of skin even though they are of a color of the skin.

Personally, I've never been a big fan of racial pride, or the Confederate flag. I think the whole thing should be left in the past where it belongs. I've always found it cringey. But, I also can't stand hypocrisy, and I also can't stand the overt racsim played out in main stream media on a daily basis either. I mean, if you want to find racism in America in 2018, don't get distracted by a few rednecks on the courthouse steps. Just go straight to CNN headquarters. The place where Kanye West is called a "Token Negro" on national television for having an unpopular opinion.

I'd also bet $1000 you'd see more "rebel flags" and hear the "N-word" more often during a typical fall Saturday in Oxford Mississippi than you would see or hear of either on a typical fall Saturday in Harrison, Arkansas.

Spot on. Honestly the backlash that Kanye is getting is an example of the hate/racism people like me get from the left on a micro level on a regular basis. But because the leftists are generating the hate, it gets a pass. If the races were reversed, it wouldn't. That's unacceptable.

All of our ancestors did fricked up shite. The further back you go, the more fricked up it was (by our standards today).
When I look at my son, do I tell him to denigrate his white heritage, and herald his black? Or vice versa? Honestly the best way to go through life is to be proud of the good shite your forefathers did, and learn from the fricked up shite so we hopefully don't make the same mistakes. Everyone has frickups on both sides of their family tree--just take the good with the bad and try to be better in your personal life.

I have, and white folks are leaving Mississippi in droves and going elsewhere. White Flight is alive and well, damn shame too. Some of the best folks I have ever met are in MS. However, racism is a huge problem there. fwiw.
