We had 5 injuries at one time on the D, so this could have been true

we're not even talking about Arkansas' NC hopes anymore.

Because they were so miniscule in the first place that they're not really worth discussing.

You started this thread to ignorantly downplay the fact that Arkansas had legit NC hopes going into this season.

I wouldn't call it ignorant. I just honestly can't see Arkansas getting past the hurdle of both bama and lsu this season. I don't think you have the overall team strength to do it. I'm not saying that Arkansas is a bad team. I'm not saying that at all.

I just don't think you guys have enough for both of those games.

As far as winning the SECCG, wow, big accomplishment beating Mark Richt's mediocre Georgia team.

And yet, Georgia had even more success at stopping Jordan Jefferson than Bama did.

JJ vs. Arkansas
18-29 for 208 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT
7 carries for 53 yards

JJ vs. UGA
5-13 for 30 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT
6 carries for -5 yards

JJ vs. Bama (BCS title game)
11-17 for 53 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT
14 carries for 15 yards

Granted, Bama shut down our entire offense whereas Georgia only shut down Jefferson and we still gained 207 yards on the ground due to big days by Blue and Hilliard.

One wonders if Arkansas will ever experience this feeling in the 21st century.

Guess Arkansas' 2011 team was mediocre too then since you lost to LSU by a nearly identical score and gave Jordan Jefferson his best performance of the year.

Thanks for playing.

They won't listen to this. I even emphasized that point earlier.

These games are 2 months apart and both at home, but I respect your opinion

Or we could be two injuries away from winning the national championship if you want to spin it that way.

You are right. Arkansas seems to always get better down the stretch no matter who the coach is. They always seem ready to play come that Friday/saturday after thanksgiving

Arkansas was 3 quarters away from a national title appearance last year. It wasn't far fetched to say they had a shot

They were close last year. But you think they get voted into the game against bama without winning the title?

Bama had the media push last year. I can't see Arkansas having the same love. I can't see any team other than bama having the same media love/help.

Who hasn't Nick owned? He's the best coach in CFB. This is some serious irony coming from a Tiger fan.

Starting to think you are under that motorcycle and sustained some head injuries. LSU got in the SECCG by going 12-0 including wins over other mediocre teams such as your razorbacks.

I honestly believe they did have a legitimate shot this year. All they have to do is beat Bama and LSU and you have a title shot. Is that offense under Petrino not potent? Is their rushing attack not dangerous with Nile Davis back? Is Alabama not going back into their house this year? Did we not barely escape in '10? Lets just be honest,if you don't think that the Hogs could have pulled this off this year with Petrino than you are crazy.

A big key to winning Big Games is having quality depth.

The fact that you're crying about how many injuries you had shows that your roster wasn't built for prime time.

P.S. Every team (all 120 of them) have to deal with injuries. It's part of football.

He's right. The series is 3-3.

Wins are all that matter. Not the score.

Saban is higher right now because of winning the title. But I think believing Saban "owns" lsu and miles would be pretty silly and a stretch.
