Another problem is reputation and image which took a huge hit during the last 10 years.
If Arkansas wasn't in the SEC, they would be recruiting at a worse level. They come because Arkansas isn't some good football program but trying to play in the SEC.
Unlike Basketball which is a much bigger brand, football is a joke in comparison and struggle getting the top level recruits to visit. Not so much in Basketball and Baseball.
Both of those sports never got nuked from orbit repeatedly like football has.

I think he is a good coach. He had the team play very well last night and hard. The loss to BYU was a surprise, since y’all were up a couple scores, but losing to BYU isn’t terrible. I wouldn’t be surprised if y’all beat the aggies.

Orgeron started living the salt life after his contract extension after the natty. Coaching LSU football became a side gig to beach life and running trim. It wasn’t a sustainable situation. But I will always love him for 2019.

In today’s environment, without a head coach and what went on during that season, most of those players would have opted out of the game altogether.
