Its what I always here. I googled it and found this.

While Wal-Mart does not require its suppliers to have offices close to headquarters, Smith said proximity gives them a step up. A local presence means a supplier can be at the beck and call of Wal-Mart, and not have to hop on a plane every time they need to visit the retailer.

Actually, Bret gets 4 million if you win in court! And if you go to court and lose, you get to pay even more for hardships you placed on his family due to you NOT paying him since Dec 2018.

You literally have a contract that you have factually broken in 1 years time due to him not landing a HC'g gig.

You will lose that case

That will go to court. Ark will lose. He is allowed to make 50K.. He is. More on Ark situation:

Yes. He will sue us. In the county of Washington, Arkansas.

We are just all a quiver over that.

How you read that article and thought, wow Arkansas is really up against the wall is amazing.

Actually Walmart does. There are offices there that have no value other than Walmart mandates it.

So we can agree these are not the same thing. Consequently, there is no treasure trove of incredibly wealthy businesses flocking to Bentonville that can be tapped for fundraising by UA. The fact is, the product on the field is bad, the money is drying up and a few billionaires aren't going to jump in and save you without having undue influence on the program. If/When that happens you're going to be left a situation like Ok State had/has with T Boone Pickens (and to some extent UT). It is an ineffective and unproductive way to run a large Athletic Department.

Incorrect. I do business with Wal-Mart. I have no office in Bentonville OR the State of Arkansas.

Actually since we are counter suing we collect the 4 million if we win.

It is not that he did not land a HC gig. It is that he made no effort to land a HC gig. He did not fulfill the terms of the contract. He could have applied to every job out there and asked for a 1 billion a year salary. We would have had to pay him.

He did not. Bert did not think that we would call him on his bluff but we did.

We do require people fly up here to pitch things at the home office, at least we did, but Walmart has never required a company to have an office in Bentonville. Walmart does business with umpteen bazillion companies. Unless folks starting renting out people's living rooms there is not enough room for them up here.

KC Tiger is right.

Actually... he did get rich being stupid. It was dumb blind luck that made Jerry rich. That and being a gambler.

He loves his grandson and he loves the university of Arkansas. I’m just saying if they just asked ONE man they could have the money. They have several places they could get money from.

Disclaimer: I am NOT an Arkansas fan by any means. I just think this thread is dumb and the OP is just being an a-hole

Wa-Mart heirs don’t really care about Arkansas these days. The older generation did.

And Jerry does - but he won’t blindly pay for someone he doesn’t approve of. He’s an incredible egomaniac

Jerry Jones. You know billionaire and former national champion Razorback OL grandfather to Arkansas’ current starting QB?

I am quite sure Jerry alone could pay Morris and pay for a new coach at whatever salary.

I won’t even get into the other billionaire/Fortune 500 companies/business people that went or are from Arkansas

Exactly 3 Fortune 500 within 30 min of Fayetteville. Then there's Jerry

LMAO at all these Arky fans thinking they are the richest program in the nation because they have WalMart headquarted up the road. WalMart does contribute millions to the University but they don't give that much to the athletic program. If there is so much money just floating around for these buyouts, then why was the Razorback Foundation selling donated land in fire sales the last month to raise money?
