Still, a really bad look for Mullen and UF. They have lucked out a bit and it shouldn't hurt this year, but next year and beyond... yeah they have work to do.

Knew this would happen. Even the cesspool in Norman lost interest in him

Mark Richt had a very similar 2013 class. Coupled with some poor hires in 2015, it was ultimately what led to his firing.

We will have enough players to beat LSU & UGA this year and we will be just fine...just worry about your programs.

Memo to Serraneaux, come back and play when your team finally has a pulse.

Doesn't him signing and then not qualifying burn a scholarship? Or am I just misremembering the rules on these things.

Anyone know how to subtract the signees UF has lost from this class and refigure the rankings?

Someone else already did it. Posted this in the burning thread:

quote:

They're down to 19 players remaining on campus of the 25 that signed. Steele and Jones have already transferred. Henderson, Black, and Hammond are all JUCO. Wardrick Wilson is still waiting on getting a visa that will make him eligible.

That takes their 2019 class from 9th in the country with a score of 276.85 to 17th with a score of 252.45 - that's only 5 points better than South Carolina.

He will probably coach that class up too. The bigger issue is the schollie count.

Btw, is Henderson cleared by the NCAA and this is a Florida admission thing?

Updated Swamp burns thread. I included Wilson in the class. According to rumors they feel they will be able to get him enrolled at some point but he will likely not contribute this year.

Yeah, I left out my musings from the other thread:
quote:

Now, they did manage to add Cox, and they'll potentially add other transfers, but the issue there is that with waivers becoming less likely, and at least in Cox's case a year of eligibility already used, there's a good chance he may only suit up for them for 1 year and just try his hand at the draft. Kelvin Joseph another who could potentially look to do the same. In that scenario, while they might get one good year, they also blow an IC slot and a spot on the 85 man roster for guys who can't play for a full season. Mullen's going to have his hands full trying to manipulate roster numbers for a bit if they don't get all of their 2020 class to actually enroll and stay on campus.

Best not to write checks that your program can’t cash.
