Why the venom, I'm just stating facts bro?

By the way, since you're so concerned about my Bama fam and friends out there, would you like to hear some of the rumors they've told me circulating around the alums and Bama highschool coaches over there? But then again, I better not discuss it, it's bound to violate some sort of rules on this forum.

Venom? Just laughing at you and how you seem to think you are pulling off this whole "just a guy looking to talk ball" thing when in reality you are just a very bad troll.

Oh no - not more rumors from your Bama friends who shockingly seem to agree with you that Alabama football is swirling down the shitter! That could be devastating!

Why does it bother some of you that Alabama claims some of these Championships that was won years and years ago?

Oh know, they don't think bama football is circling the drain at all. They are diehard Bama fans through and through. But uh, they are very concerned about some things right now, and that's just the truth, whether you believe me or not. Don't shoot the messenger.

And, why would you think I'm a troll? Heck, I was on here the other day defending Bryce Young to one of your own fellow Bama posters who was putting him down! I'm not just a Bama hater, like some on here are.

I’d rather have the debate of “if the Ivy league woke up this morning and decided they wanted to be dominant in football again (I.e. dump their considerable resources into the arms race), could they do it and how long would it take?”

In monetary areas they could easily compete.

Finding enough athletes that could get in even with reduced admissions standards? Doubt they could.

Our high schools aren’t designed to produce smart athletes.

Oh we know - you've let us know that you friends in Piedmont have the exact same feelings about Alabama football and it's downfall as you do. We get it. You've worked it into every new topic you've posted "asking" about why Alabama isn't good anymore over the last month.

Why does Bryce Young need to be defended by you? We know who he is and soon so will the NFL.

Chicken settled this.

There’s a thread on it. bogus championships by schools that retroclaim them to “look better”.

Link is legit because it has nearly 1000 upvotes by the SEC rant.

Their location also doesn't do them any favors. Despite its very large population the Northeast doesn't produce a ton of football talent. You would have to recruit nationally and now that Emma Watson has graduated it isn't going to be easy to get folks to Brown University. Especially if they are from someplace like Florida, Texas, or Louisiana.

Dang man...I've somehow gotten on your bad side I see.
Can we bury the hatchet? I apologize for anything I've said to offend you, now or in the past. How's that for a peace offering?

In fairness those two won most of theirs when there were only 4 or 5 teams playing football.

Well, someone brought up, as is a usual argument around here, that Bama couldn't do anything with BY (a Heisman winner, All-American, etc) so, what makes them think they are going to win anything without him? Some Bama fan chimed in and said something to the effect of, maybe it's a good thing then he's leaving since he never won anything anyway.
I spoke up and said I didn't think that was a very fair statement. BY was a heck of a football player and the blame for some of the Tide's shortcomings as of late shouldn't be placed squarely on him.

You were discussing Bryce Young with me and you need to check your short-term memory skills. All that was stated about Bryce Young was that he never won a NC at ALABAMA as a starter. He has a NC ring but not as a starter.

Tua never won a national championship at ALABAMA as a starter but has a NC ring. You shouldn't have any problem remembering his contributions on the 2nd and 26.

Now tell me why either of these guys' honor needs defending by you.

Wouldn’t work

The ivys have that money from the ultra rich, many who care little for sports like football and wouldn’t want their kids going to school with the type of thugs found on SEC teams like Bama and UGA on the same campus as their kids.

Think these players get arrested a lot in Athens and Tuscaloosa with all the local support and guys like Saban/Nate Oates covering for them?

Imagine how much trouble Tony Mitchell would get in at Cambridge, MA or Princeton?

No, it wouldn't. An OL that averaged 180 to 200 lbs across. Guys that have to play both ways so they have enough quality skill players.

Next week: Really, just how good were those baseball players during the Civil War?

You don't have to be so mean in your response to me. I guess I misunderstood you then. I apologize for saying anything that offended you.

Why, because I'm a nice guy? Is that how you respond to everyone who has just given you an unconditional apology and asked you for forgiveness?
