Oh wow I had no idea Prielipp was hurt. Yeah that’s a major blow but it doesn’t seem like it’s going to be more than a month based off the article I read that was written yesterday.

It just sounds like one of those ongoing things that ends in season ending surgery or rest. I could just be paranoid, but I've seen a hundred of these in the major leagues and this is following that same path.

- Gonna miss a few days, no reason given
- Gonna miss another week, no reason given
- Had a little setback, working back, still a bit longer

Just waiting on the hammer to fall there

I enjoyed reading this.

And I would wager someone out of all those highly ranked arms is going to step up and become “the dude.” Y’all still have plenty of pitching and the bats to make up for not having a “true” Ace yet. What y’all did to Texas tech, TCU and Texas was impressive considering how early in the season and the staffs on those teams. Y’all and UF may be equal in terms of SOS. Yall get OU tonight who was ranked preseason as well

Trust me I am no stranger. LSU has been plagued every year it seems for the last 5 years with similar injuries. So many factors go into the rehab and progress varies so much on a case to case basis.

Hope the kid heals up and shakes back bc he’ll be one of if not the first pitcher taken, if he can stay healthy.

thats how I am feeling SC will be. honestly I could see SC being worse than 15-15.

I am guessing a few very tournament worthy teams will be left at home this year.

I also think the SEC will have 4 in Omaha

OU beat us twice last year, but the first game was a scrimmage.

Our batting lineup may be as good as ever. Our BA isn't great, but it's early and we even have good bats on the bench for most positions.

Pitching is so deep that I think we could pitch by committee without much drop off. It just remains to be seen which pitchers can be consistent and reliable.

Moore is a star at 2nd and Franklin has improved his batting enough to be a star at CF. Goodheart is a positive at DH, Opitz at C and Battles has been great at SS. We've also been very patient at the plate this year, which had been a bit of a problem in year's past.

Tbh, I was really disappointed about last season getting called early and I was expecting a dropoff this year, so I'm very surprised by how good we look and I'm not just saying that because of our early season success.

Depending on which poll you look at

Even the currently unranked teams like ...Bama, UGA

Both are ranked in polls. Bama #22 in Baseball America and UGA #7 in Baseball News and #3 in Didleys Power Ranking

Yeah I am going with Vandy and their 2 un-hittable starters.
It's ALL about the pitching.
