It's all about using perspective to destroy your weak arse troll. I'm not suggesting softball or gymnastics are wildly popular sports. I'm just saying in comparison to swimming and diving they are. Softball gets as much (or more) coverage on ESPN than college baseball does. Gymnastics gets more than swimming and diving and just to put gymnastics in perspective, at least 3 SEC schools have drawn bigger crowds for a gymnastics meet than Auburn has ever drawn for their biggest basketball game. Let THAT humiliating stat sink in for a minute. Multiple gymnastics programs in the SEC out draw Auburn men's basketball. Talk about embarrassing. As for golf, completely laughable to try and put swimming and diving in the same universe with it in popularity.
The bottom line is most SEC schools with give up 10 swimming and diving national titles for just 2 national titles in softball, gymnastics, or golf.

One trick pony finished #25 in the country in the Director's Cup last year, ahead of Auburn, as usual.

I think they are still pretty crowded. I've been to a couple, but it was back in the heyday.
