I am not sure if they're regretting anything but it's refreshing to see someone affiliated with OU speak the unassailable truth that the TV networks DGAF about your school, its traditions, your players, or your expectations.
I keep preaching this to the high heavens.
frick conference revenue. frick it. It's not what matters! When the SEC is no more and LSU is playing a yearly schedule with UCLA, Penn State, Iowa, Nebraska, etc., it will be too late.

What was OU's choice? Stay in the Whatever 12 and be king of the dumpster fire?

OU - Perennial 8-4 team in the SEC
UT - Perennial 7-5 team in the SEC
It is what it is

frick no a few fans maybe but as a 90 percent whole no. Did they do OU any favors with the schedule no …. But it will even out. OU will be fine .
Historically LSU Bama UGA have either been close games or a win by OU…. except the blowout by LSU which they blew out Clemson even worse. We beat Bama and lost by 11. UGA should have won but lost double OT… LSU a national title game we dropped a pass in the endzone and lost by 7 last play of the game. I think you are dreaming of you think we are going to be pushovers ….. you’re living off of what LSU did one year which was historic. Now yes has Bama and UGA a kicked it up a notch in recruiting yes. So the gap may be bigger and probably is time will tell for sure .

The SEC is going to have to make sure these arrogant Texans don’t destroy our conference. They did it to the SW conference and now the big 12 is teetering on the edge. Texas hasnt even been admitted to the SEC yet and they are already bragging about their money and demanding that the SEC championship game and SEC office be moved to their state. They are trouble and the schools of the SEC are gonna have to let them know who’s in charge

At least they would have had some wins each year if they had stayed. Now not so many

Amongst college football fans
Travel around a little, no one HATES Oklahoma or it’s fans, go anywhere from California to Ohio to West Virginia, everyone HATES the pansies in Austin

The SEC isn’t gonna be fair. Get ready for major beat downs.

Really? Well, how could we all better...

I guess by culture fit you might mean "more educated." THAT would make sense for Texas not being a culture fit
Oh hey, look — there it is.

Glad we agree why Texas might not be a culture fit

What they probably don't realize is that Oklahoma fans are actually a great cultural fit for the SEC.
Speak for yourself, not all SEC fans are mechanics in Alabama and Mississippi.
Most UT students / alumni / fans are not genderqueer, purple-haired millennials. Most of their people should have a good time with UGA, UF, Vandy, S Carolina, etc. folks. Obviously, the redneck part of the SEC (Bama, LSU, Tenn) is its own breed.
That cockamamie “cultural fit” crap coming from the hillbilly SEC-West is what will prevent us from landing schools like UNC and UVA. So shut up.
