We eat at Chimes every time we come to BR so I wanted to try something different.

Parrain’s is good but be aware it’s the same family as Chime’s. Lots of menu overlap.
WSP around a dozen shows
Phish maybe 5 times
String Cheese around 5 too
wasn't much into the dead but had a buddy in a cover band, saw too many of those shows

pot, shrooms, molly, acid...so easy to get at any of them
Raw onions are a must. Pickles or pickled jalapenos too.

Lettuce & tomato sometimes. Even cheese isn't necessary.
So many thoughts and responses based on mortal, earthly conceptions.

Why is there an appearance vs an awareness? Even in this mortal existence, on this planet, creatures see appearance very differently. Some don’t use eyesight at all. We may have something like an awareness that supersedes the need for appearance.

Recognition, our current existence involves introductions & questions/answers to form an understanding- where did you got to high school? All of these things may not be necessary when we’re in God’s afterlife.

Marriage, there could easily be a more euphoric reunion ahead of us.

Family, all saved souls could be part of a much more significant family of God making the earthly concept of family insignificant.
Time is a construct of mortality. What is time if you’re immortal? What is age?
I feel embarrassed and ashamed for clicking on your thread.

We’re looking at Anse Chastanet in St Lucia now. $7500 total for room only. That’s the top spot so far. We want to be ON the beach.

Check out Sugar Beach. Used to be a sugar plantation. It’s on a peaceful cove that’s a beach with very light surf.

re: Pool filter cleaning

I bought one of those filter cleaning hose attachments, metal. Works better than a regular nozzle. If you back the hose away from the filter about 3-4 inches the streams converge for full pressure to get stubborn spots.

Also use a metal bar stool to wash the filters on. Basically a pedestal. Easier on the back but still a tedious/messy process.
Family friend’s grand parents were from PA. They made it several times along with lots of other regional dishes. Scrapple is an acquired taste. The other stuff they made was better.

Same, HEB has 8ish lb loins at $2.29/lb. That's a lot of protein for about $20.

Upvotes all around. Kimchi is great with bbq.

Brats on the menu tonight, will try on that too.

I dont know how vital of a road 6th street is but if possible, they should consider shutting down vehicle traffic with that many pedestrians in the area .

E 6th can be closed to vehicles. W 6th is a major downtown corridor. 3-4 lanes wide, one way. Side streets are much smaller.
Tried a Motor City last night, supreme was the only option available. Worst frozen pizza ever. Dough/crust sucked, not enough sauce or cheese, and needed more toppings for a premium brand.

Asian inspired rice bowls with seared salmon, roasted broccoli, kimchi, chili crisp & kewpie mayo drizzle. Probably something else I’m forgetting.

actually thought this was about Major League

Watched SS last year on a family trip at my suggestion. Some incredibly hilarious scenes but lots of incredibly boring divorce/relationship stuff.

Reminded me exactly of Major League. Basically the same movie. Both are great.

cooking in your backyard with family and friends. That’s where the best crawfish are found.

Texas has figured out they're good to eat but hasn't figured out how to cook them, equipment to buy, etc. Yet HEB makes it easy. They'll break up sacks and sell however many lbs you want.

The experience is flipped in TX. 99% of the people think buying at a restaurant is the norm. Standing around a table in a group feasting on a fresh batch is foreign. Forget finding any that have been properly soaked or even half-arse soaked. Restaurants don't bother with that since they dust.

Godfathers Pizza

Was a weekly staple for us in the 80s. Had some sort of buy a glass pitcher and get free soda refills deal. Was at Vets where I-10 crosses over.

Hardees, meh
Had a jewish roommate for a while when I lived in Dallas. Got to try some jewish deli's, no idea how authentic. Some was good and some was odd to me. Would go back anytime for the sandwiches.
