Are LSU fans really upset with Alleva over this decision?

He’s doing everything he can to prevent an NCAA investigation from setting up in Baton Rouge. Once the investigation starts, do you really think it’d be limited to basketball?
Alleva is choosing between preserving at least the football program, or risking having both basketball and football get caught cheating. Seems like a no brainer.

They are having a total meltdown and want Alleva, not the coach stupid enough to get caught discussing paying for players, to be fired.

Coach O made Alleva do it. Nobody wants the NCAA on campus, especially the head football coach. Pretty smart by Coach O imo.

They are retarded so this is no shock. But having the NCAA probing through your AD is the absolute worst case scenario, and Alleva avoids that if he gets rid of the dumbass that got caught on a wiretap.

Yes we want Alleva gone. Nobody wanted him here in the first place after his atrocious handling of the Duke lacrosse incident. He is the AD who fricked up the Football hire with Coach O, and he hired Will Wade. If LSU is going to go down, we should start from scratch.

I'll be honest here, and this may be an unpopular opinion, but I would take the death penalty in basketball for a final four run.
The shitty part is, we still might get the death penalty and we'll likely get bounced in the first two rounds without Wade.

This is the only reason why I am not freaking out over it, and that is 100% the reason why Alleva suspended WW. He is the sacrificial lamb to preserve the cash cow (Football).
Just look at Ole Miss. Their recent pounding from the NCAA started as a women's track investigation.

Well to be fair to some of em, look at what Alleva did to Duke’s lacrosse team and coach over allegations. It’s kinda feeling the same way to some——-at this point in time

The ncaa will already be investigating. The suspension does nothing.
