Yes, they do have that at OM.

Please don't tell me they were codivision champions....and hung a banner.

The SEC West means more than most divisions. This year if uga had played in the West they wouldn't be going to the playoffs. I doubt anyone would show off a ring but when added to a larger narrative of success it matters. As an Auburn fan I am disappointed we didn't win the SEC, but I am proud we won the west.

I believe they should do away with championship games. Winnng your division and conference really doesn't mean as much anymore.

Soon. As well as conferences. If an SEC W team dropped 1-2 lower tier SEC teams and added higher quality P5 teams from another conference, then lost a couple games...they would be in the playoff discussion. If there is way to do that with making more money...it'll happen.

If you're in the SECw, then yes. Go ahead and make fun of my school, like always, for hanging our shitty banner. But don't act like winning the best division in college football doesn't mean anything. It means more than any other division title in CFB.

From someone who’s team hasn’t been there yet and isn’t going to get there with their new $75million coach... Jameis won that natty. Jimbo is jack shite.

To be fair...the west wasn't the west when Mississippi hung their banner.

Is there such a thing as division "championship"? I don't think so.

Only weigh in if your team is a member of the big 5. Obviously if you're arkansas, miss state, and missouri division championships are all you have. Every program should forever remember national championship teams, sec championship teams, and now cfp teams, but what about teams that only win the division?

Isn't the Big 5 the five SEC teams that have won a National Title in the past 35 years? Why is a Georgia fan making this topic?

That and weren't they west co-champs? I could care less to look it up, but to me, that implies that they tied and didn't win outright.

Someone educate me plz

One thing is for sure...if you can’t win your division, you have to get on your knees for the committee and any additional wins are tainted. There is a difference between UGa and Bama this year. One earned their way in. One beat LSU and Miss St barely.

Come on. I wouldn’t go that far. I mean Jimbo was smart enough to recruit the kid right? On a human level, Jameis is a shitty person. On a football level, like we are talking about, he was a hell of a talent. But Fisher deserves some of that credit at the very least.

Tennessee embarrassed the SEC with their recent coaching search and their play on the field for the better part of this century. Therefore, they have been kicked out.

Not really, but i guess it's hard to explain the cfp, you know, if you've never been there.

Yeah the easiest route to the playoffs is a soft schedule and don't win your division
