Yes, but it kind of depends on the division. The last few years winning the east wasn't all that impressive. Winning the west pretty much means your a top 5 team at a minimum most years.

I honestly couldn't care less what a fan of a team that has never won their division thinks.

Congrats on being the tallest midget, Georgia

Still one of the top divisions in CFB and still better than east. Why not be proud of a SEC west division win?
ETA: I'm aware OM didn't win it out right that year, but my entire point is more than Ole Miss. any team that wins the west should be more proud than any division winner in CFB. That's my point.

Being SEC Champs means we are the tallest midget?

Being an SEC East champion who beat up a hotstreak Auburn team with a Bama hangover does

I totally get Auburn or even LSU complaining about how hard the west is, but you're a Texas A&M fan. Your team is perennially in 4th or 5th place in that division. You wouldn't even come close to winning the East.

A&M would compete just as much as UF and UGa if they were in the east. I don't see them being any worse than any team outside of UF and UGA on a annual basis. TAMU would be not only competing for the east title but probably winning it every other year.

A&M has only had one year where they won double digit games since joining the conference. They almost lost this year to a four win florida team. They've lost 3 out of the last four to Mississippi State. They suck.

Its not ring worthy but hanging a banner is acceptable

Still have the conference title and a spot in the CFP

The complete opposite is true.
Rings are for the players since you're going to get one from the bowl game anyways.

It means you finished the regular season top 4. I'd rather lose in the playoffs than have 3 losses.

Is making the playoff something to be proud of or must you win it????
I'd say winning the semi-final bowl is ring worthy. If UGA were to win the Rose, but then fall in the Natty I'd be fine with the players getting a Rose Bowl champs ring.

Y'all know they make bowl rings for just about every bowl these days, right?
Tennessee made Music City Bowl rings

Yeah, but I still am only cool with major bowls doing it.

Yes. South Carolina received rings and a sign in their stadium

It's only good if the program uses it as a stepping stone in their progression towards a championship. It says your team has moved to another level. If means nothing if your team regresses from there.
