Dont have to talk up VaTech. Barring injury, they have a top 10 defense. LSU wouldve lost to them last night, so diaf.

Yes, exactly the same way LSU fans are talking TCU as a top 10 team COngrats to LSU for putting 37 on the board. I dont remember the last time I saw LSU give up 27 to a QB who sat out last year and was completing passes at will 
Oregon and UW had better offenses and LSU shut them competely down. I'd worry about that LSU D as much as I 'll worry about our offense.

Why was this never mentioned before the game?
All I saw here before the game was bama would run all over and pound VT to death by 40.
Not one mention of VT being a top 10 or even top 20 defense the entire offseason.

The OP is right in a sense. Many Bama fans, and myself, thought this was going to be a blowout. The depletion of VT's squad was a laughing matter leading up to this game.
I did not see a single Bama fan sing praises for Virginia Tech's defense until AFTER their game. If someone would be so kind to link me to ANY Bama fan giving props to Virgina Tech before yesterday and complementing their "top 10" defense, I will gladly eat crow.

I thought this too even into the 1st possession and Bama's PR for a TD
Then I realized what Foster was doing scheme wise and saw Nuss or Saban was being bullheaded about running it
They didn't have any cohesion at all but I also was shocked with how vanilla the play calling was even with it being the 1st game

Our OLine appears to have more issues than we thought they would.
VTech has a stout defensive front, in fact the best we will face all regular season aside from LSU.
Those are both facts. Is that good enough for you?
