As much as I want to say he will go to Ole Miss because of his family, they will let it be Arch's decision. Momma Manning despised UT for how they treated Archie back in the day and they didn't pressure Peyton to choose another school. UT was where Peyton wanted to go and you saw them in the stands cheering him on at every game. I'm sure it wasn't easy, but they took their responsibility as parents much more serious than their responsibilities as Ole Miss alums, which is the way it should be.

Hope Arch wants to come Ole Miss and continue the legacy, but if so he will do it because he grew up loving Ole Miss, not because he was pressured. It would really not surprise me if he went outside the SEC to do something different. Would be hard to turn down Lincoln Riley.

I've never heard this story. Can you elaborate? I've never heard of anything between Archie and UT even in context of way back when.

I don't think the Manning's (outside of Peyton) give AF about Tenn. I don't understand why there'd be any issue with Orgeron or Kiff while at Tenn. I can see Archie being kinda pissed about O's tenure at OM and his comments afterwards

This - Why would Cooper give a shite about Kiffin/Orgeron's short stint at UT? Archie ain't making this decision anyway, he wants his grandson to be happy wherever he goes and make his own decision And Cooper's a smart man, he will guide the kid and weigh out his options with him. I doubt Uncle has much involvement at all.

Good post and very much like the true situation. Arch grew up a big LSU fan, went to all the games, etc. That doesn't mean his father, grandfather, and uncle will prevent him from signing with LSU if he chooses.

Was it Arch who said he liked LSU on the Book of Manning doc when they had all the grandchildren sitting together?

Look for another Manning to be setting records in Neyland Stadium.

Kirby loves helping Tennessee set records in Neyland.

Just to help us out, what's the single game INT record for a Tennessee QB at home?

Why don't you tell us since you have searched long enough to find out.

Do you know one place Arch Manning WON'T be going? He won't be at 1980 U.

As an Ole Miss fan I’m already set for the emotional letdown of him picking a different school

I feel ya with this man. Peyton going to TN really hurt my heart. It’s complicated because we all should respect these kid’s decisions but this is the SEC and when a legacy goes with another SEC team, it is very hard to reconcile that. I’m trying to remember if this kind of thing like Peyton choosing TN has happened to any other SEC teams and I can’t think of any.

He's not going to TN, you orangies need to get that idea out of your piss-filled melons.

Ole Miss is a good possibility due to family ties. Not sure Kiffin is the right coach to pull him in, but who knows if Kiffin will still be there in 3 years.

If he's good enough he'll just go to Bama tbh.

Agree wholeheartedly. I know the Manning family has not been kind to LSU but they are all class and are a credit to any University that they have attended. They are good southern folks that represent to the highest standard. LSU would be blessed to have them.

Despised is too strong of a word, but back when Archie played for Ole miss a UT referred to ole miss football players as a bunch of mules and when asked about Archie, responded “Archie who”? UT fans made up buttons with that slogan. At the time Archie was pretty revered by all of college football so it was taken as a shot at Archie. I remember when Peyton was being recruited by UT, I heard that was still what Olivia thought about with UT. When Peyton picked UT, OM were upset he could pick the school that did that, so it’s very possible that was just a rumor started by fans that she felt that way too.

It's LSU's turn to land a Manning.

The family obviously loves Louisiana.

Kid will be phenomenal. His fundamental mechanics are so sound. Extremely smooth release for a kid his age. A subtle hitch that will no doubt be worked out.

Really looking forward to this kid's development. Thanks for posting.
