He appears in virtually every paper that runs AP sports.

So pretty much EVERY newspaper in America.

Finebaum and 99% of sports writers today are irrelevant assholes with a chip on their shoulder. A journalist's job is to report the news not become part of the news, a distinction which is becoming rarer by the day.

Wait I found a paper he's published in...

Northwest Indiana Post-Tribune
Fort Wayne Journal Gazette
L.A. Daily News

Bastions of the sports world in breaking news and most definitely go to sites for the inquiring minds of the world.

Actually, they are more relevant than ever due to the proliferation of media and people's access.

AP sports.. has hundreds of writers that publish under that at one point or another. Like I said, what is something he publishes under in a regular basis?

What are his credentials making him "most respected" since you seem to know all about the guy? I googled him and couldn't come up with much. He is on twitter though...124 followers. What have I been missing all these years?

Very good points...i mean, whether he has a point or not it shouldn't matter to Alabama fans

Sounds like an idiot. Saban didn't even coach at Akron and it was the Browns he left for Michigan State.

How could he be one of the most respected names in journalism if he can't even get basic facts right? I don't care if he writes for the AP. Hundreds of sports journalists write for them. I highly doubt he is one of their best. He's just trying to make a name for himself.

Yea, I was thinking that I did not remember Saban coaching at Akron. Now he did coach at Toledo, another city in Ohio.

Hey at least he got the state right. What do you want?

Where was my typo? Many thanks.

And Litke IS a regular columnist for a number of large newspapers including the Boston Globe and Sporting News.

And he's been writing for the AP since at least 98. Google brought up a host of stories he wrote covering the home run chase.
