You are so correct. The number one problem with the public school system is crappy parents. But a close second is we quit letting retired coaches run the schools and now we have fat bleeding heart women who are terrible leaders.

Her argument is that it’s not that big a deal in the grand scheme of things, and none of this s**t really is if you get right down to it.
Her argument is really worse than that. She basically says that it doesn’t matter because it gets adjusted and the teams fall about where they should. She is basically saying that other people do her job for her so she doesn’t really need to be good at it.
And I guarantee you she espouses that women are paid less than men for doing “the same work.”

And these people vote in presidential elections.

"Top 25 wins" is literally a resume builder for the playoff committee. It also determines metrics like SoS.

Things like this matter on a societal level. The fact that she is a professional journalist and thinks this level of effort and competence is acceptable is a microcosm for multiple issues plaguing western civilization.

The perfect example already this year is LSU. A team that was considered a fringe contender at best was vaulted into the top 5 and a playoff frontrunner for beating a Clemson team that is clearly not a top 5 team. Yet because the AP had them ranked in the top 5 to start the season, the entire perception of LSU changed in one week.
